CHAPTER SIXTY NINE - A NEW DAWN 

“Doctor, hope my baby is fine?” The young lady asked, sweating profusely. “I want to hold him”

“Your baby is doing just fine. I just need your husband to just sign some papers for me.” He said, pulling the man by her side. Their eyes met as the young man and new mother stared at each other.

“He is not my…” her statement was cut short by him as he squeezed her hand gently. “I would sign the papers. I am really happy that the baby and the mother are fine.”

His smile enveloped the room, showing that he was clearly happy about all that was going on. “Just wait, I would be right back. I want to be his father. Just give me that chance,” he begged before placing a kiss on her forehead.

Her heart rate increased at his suggestion as she watched in surprised, her head rested against the bed but her eyes twitched in fear.

“Miss Monica, we just need to take your vitals now.” The nurse ordered as she walked towards the bed. Her leg stretched out towards Monica as she looked at her smiling.
