Ch. 50: Oral Lesson

Sariel's point of view

I don’t know how many minutes I was unconscious, but I don’t care. The pain in my head is still pounding, and I groan, feeling like I’m about to pass out again. Maddy comes to mind, followed by Murphy and Jasper chasing me.

I woke up when I heard Maddy groaning, and my eyes widened. What the hell was he doing? I tried to get up and stop him, but he just glared at me.

I begged him to stop, but his shallow breathing and intense pounding made it seem like he didn't hear me. My body hurt, and I wasn’t okay. My foot was swollen as a result of Murphy's stomping, and it felt as though a hammer was still striking my head.

“Maddy, please,” I pleaded again.

“Please, what?” he roared back.

“Just stop; you’re killing me. It hurts; please stop, let go,” I said, wiping the tears running down my cheeks. I grasped his arms and hugged him.

“Please?” He stopped and faced me, but then he turned to look back at Murphy and punched him in the face one last time. Maddy was sti
