Chapter 68

Maiari retraced her steps back to the living room where Aunt Daisy and Uncle Mike were seated. She felt a slight embarrassment as she asked them, "Do you happen to have a spare key for Andrea's room? I found her door locked, and she's not responding."

Uncle Mike chuckled, shaking his head. "Maiari, you really need to duplicate that key. It's not the first time this has happened."

Aunt Daisy nodded in agreement. "He's right, dear. You always forget. Maybe it's time you make that duplicate key."

Maiari sighed, realizing that she had been procrastinating on this task for far too long. "I hope I remember to do it this time. I've just been so busy lately."

With that, she excused herself once more and made her way back to Andrea's room. She hoped that her daughter was fine and that this little incident would remind her to prioritize making that spare key. Reaching the locked door, Maiari took a deep breath and used another key to open it, relieved to find Andrea inside, sleeping sound.
