Rushing back to Tobias's office, she barged inside without knocking. Her face was turning red with all the anger, embarassment and humiliation already while it was just her second day in this damned office. Tobias Ashford knew all the ways to frustrate her and push her to her limits. “ You sent me to her. If you knew she can do this, why did you send me to Suzy to get your schedule? ” She hissed, her hazel orbs throwing daggers at Tobias who was looking at her blankly. Silence stretched between them as the staring contest kept going for a while.Slowly, Hazel walked over to him and stopped on the other side of the table to maintain her distance. “ Why? ” Repeating her question, she narrowed her eyes wanting an answer.
AUTHOR'S POVReaching the office on time the next morning, Hazel prepared the coffee for Tobias. The one he wanted and liked. Rushing to the top floor, Hazel knocked on his office's door and stepped inside after a moment to find him still working. His clothes were not changed and this made Hazel realize that he never went home. Was he here the whole day yesterday and then last night too? Hazel wondered with surprise clear in her eyes. “ Leave the coffee on the table Ms Cameron. ” He ordered in a hoarse voice without looking up from his laptop screen and Hazel stepped forth obeying his command. Her eyes never left his face though. His eyes were bloodshot focusing hard on the laptop screen, his forehead was adorned with a frown and his thick lips were set in a thin line. He was tired but who was here to ask him to take some rest or he was going to fall sick at this rate? “
AUTHOR'S POV “ Are you sure we have slept together before? ” He asked and Hazel found herself frozen on her spot.Slowly exhaling the breath she held back, Hazel tried to act normal when in reality, she was just freaking out internally. Tobias observed her closely trying to find the truth in her eyes but she was good at it. Hazel Cameron was good at making people see only what she wanted them to see. “ What makes you say that? ” Lifting her chin defiantly, Hazel sneered at Tobias who blinked lazily. She wanted to act bold to hide the truth. Indeed a good tact, Tobias thought. Dragging his tongue across his lips, Tobias lowered his gaze and fixed his eyes on her cherry lips. Leaning in until his nose touched hers, he breathed heavily and a smirk tugged up the corner of his lips. “ Your body is stiff. I feel like you don't want me to touch you and y
AUTHOR'S POV “ But I think I am falling in love with you. ” The words spilled out of Hazel's mouth on their own and she found even herself getting surprised. Tobias who just took his eyes off Hazel, whipped his head up to gaze at her. She was standing on the same spot, her eyes nervously boring into his and her fingers fumbling around. Now what was he supposed to do? He wondered as he relaxed back in his seat. His eyes stared at Hazel blankly. He knew she was waiting for an answer, but he had none. He did not know what to say anymore. “ You don't love me Ms. Cameron. ” He denied her claim once again. The look in her eyes was not that of love. She did not love him. She was scared and nervous and so fidgety because she too knew, that she was lying. “ I should leave now. ” Hazel breathed out and turned around, before storming out of there.
AUTHOR'S POVRain poured down hard on Tobias Ashford, whose black hair were sticking to his forehead covering his chocolate brown mesmerising eyes, that screamed emptiness. The raindrops traced his straight pointed nose and trailed down to his perfectly shaped thick lips, then finally washed over his all black fitted suit.Standing there, he stared blankly at the coffin that was being placed in the grave dugged for Ryan Ashford, none other than his father. He died in the prison two days ago and the cause was heart attack. Atleast, that's what was told to the press but the deep gashes in his dead wrists told another story. He commited suicide.Tobias tried to cry or feel anything, but all he could do was stare at the coffin as the men started pouring wet sand on it. Life was still not done punishing him and he had a whole lot to pay before life and fate decided that it was really enough. Or maybe, Fate and Life wer
AUTHOR'S POV “ Angel. ” The voice called out her stage name and she raised her head to look up at the person calling her. It was Jack. The bartender in the club where she was going to start performing from today. She was lost in her thoughts and she missed out on what he was saying at all. “ Focus. You need to focus. ” He reminded, making her nod her head at him or more to herself. “ I don't want to do it Jack. ” Raising her head again, she stared at him with her rare Hazel eyes. Her cherry bow shaped lips were set in a thin line, screaming her discomfort with all of this. Her straight pointed nose was standing proud, her broad forehead was adorned with a deep frown. “ You have to do it Hazel and you have to do it right. ” He warned her this time, using her real name. His tone was almost threatening, that made Hazel sigh to herself. Jac
AUTHOR'S POV Blood. Lots of blood. He was scared. His heart was thumping against his ribcage. His vision was blurry as the blood pouring down from the wound of his head invaded his left eye. Opening the door of the car, he staggered out. Grabbing his head, he shook it for a few moments before he opened his eyes again and looked at the car in front of him. He could see two people and then blood that was all around the car. All the windows of the car were broken along with the windshield. His breath hitched as he stumbled back. His mind was in a state of numbness where he was able to see, hear or listen everything, but he was unable to register it in his mind. All he could focus on was Blood and Blood. Fear crawled up his spine as his mother's words echoed in his ears. ' You must never admit your mistake. Covering everything up is easy for people like us. ' Blood, Two people, A damaged car. Everything started to
AUTHOR'S POV Poking her cheek with her tongue, Hazel wondered if this was the right time to call Tobias Ashford. Her soft thumb hovered above the call button. She was not able to decide if she should really call him or not. From all the men, Tobias Ashford was different and too easy to fool. And after fooling him so easily, Hazel was feeling guilty. Shaking her head at her own stupidity, Hazel finally tapped on the call button and placed the phone beside her right ear. She should get it over with. She just had three months. Three months and everything was going to be over for her. Three month and she would not have to- “ Hello? Who is it? ” His deep voice resonated from the phone's speaker and Hazel's chain of thoughts broke harshly. She jolted up in surprise for a moment but composed herself real fast to talk to him before he hanged up on the call. He was a busy man afte

AUTHOR'S POV After the first day at the office ended for Hazel, she made her way to her small run down apartment. She rented this apartment to keep her cover. If Tobias decided to keep an eye on her, he was never going to find anything suspiscious to hold over her head. She was being thorough because she had done this many times before. Five times to be precise. Shaking her head, Hazel entered her apartment and her body instantly stiffened. She could sense someone else's presence in here. Her eyes landed on the figure sitting on the small couch in the living room. Her shoulders slumped down tiredly. She could recognize him from his scent. She could recognize him from just his posture. It was him. Hazel dropped the keys on the table and marched forward to reach him. He did not bother to turn around or to even spare her a glance. She was not important enough for him to be given any attention. She knew thi
AUTHOR'S POV The meeting ended in an hour. In that hour, Hazel took her time to observe Tobias Ashford closely. When it came down to work and his company, he was a completely different person. Focused. Hardworking. Ambitious. Passionate. Level-Headed. Smart. Anyone could see it just from the way he focused on everything closely, that he loved his company dearly. It was something important for him because it was the only thing he had now. Ashford Enterprises. Keeping her head down, she followed Tobias out of the conference room as she thought about all of this. How should she get the file of their new project plan before they present it to R&S Constructions? That was the main question for her.Hazel was sure that Tobias had asked someone to keep all confidential files out of her reach because he did not trust her yet. R&S Constructions was going to give all companies a chance to present th
AUTHOR'S POV Jennifer was unbelievably the same bitchy receptionist Hazel met down, before going to Tobias. Just as Hazel approached her, Jennifer looked her up and down like she was a species to be examined. Hazel pursed her lips and stopped in front of her. “ Sir sent me... ” Hazel started but Jennifer turned away from her without listening to what she was going to say. “ Follow me. I don't have all day. Mr. Ashford asked me to give you the tour in half an hour. ” There was disdain in Jennifer's high pitched voice that she did not bother to hide once more. If Hazel was not here on some top notch mission to steal information, she would have slapped the hell out of this bitch Jennifer. Hazel had an idea about why Jennifer behaved like this. She said Mr. Ashford so dreamily everytime that even a child would have understood that this Jennifer wanted to get to Tobias.
AUTHOR'S POV Hazel smirked looking at the office and wiped away the sweat forming on her forehead. She was out of breath from running around in the office while she arranged everything neatly. Suddenly, the telephone on the desk started to ring loudly. A groan escaped Hazel's lips and she stomped towards the table to pick up the receiver. She placed the receiver beside her ear. Her teeth were gritted tightly in case she decided to curse at the one calling her which was definitely Tobias Ashford. “ It's ten minutes pass the hour I gave you, Ms. Cameron. ” His voice was static like Hazel was talking to a robot in this moment. Pushing the speaker away from her ear, Hazel covered it with her hand. “ Bastard. Asshole. Douchebag. I will kill- ” Hazel took her time to curse at him loud when a voice cut her off. “ Are you cursing at me? ” His voice sounded
