Chapter 100

Sarah:

Hayden and I got ready to go to the station so I would have a word with the man who had tried to kill me, and of course, I needed to see Clark's corpse for myself. I wore a black gown and long matching heels.

We got to the car and Hayden drove out immediately. Throughout the ride, I had a lot going on in my mind. It was still very hard to believe Clark was dead. I wanted to tell Becky about it, but I guess I shouldn't even remind her about Clark. He's gone, and it's for good.

"Are you ready?" Hayden questioned as his car halted right in front of our destination. I heaved deeply and then nodded my head. He touched my hands and squeezed it in his as a sign of encouragement.

"If you don't want to then I can…"

"I do Hayden, I must."

I opened the door and stepped down from it.

As I looked around, all I could see was Clark's face. I needed to be strong and get over him already. Hayden held my hand and we both walked in.

When the DPO saw me, he smiled, and I returned it.
