Pagmulat ko ng aking mga mata, agad na bumulaga sakin ang puting kisame.
Naalarma ako, the smell of antiseptic starts to lingered in my nose.
Why am I here?
Why am I in the hospital?
Napatigil ako sa pag-iisip ng maramdaman ko ang pag-sakit ng aking ulo.
Anak ng tokwa ang sakit.
Kinapa ko ang pinangggagalingan ng sakit.
Sheme, bakit may benda ang ulo ko.
Nagulat ako ng biglang bumukas ang pinto.
Isang lalaki ang pumasok pero ng makita niya ako agad na tumakbo papalabas.
Ay, kaloka yun ah, mukha ba akong nakakatakot?
Napasinghap ako.

Ang huling naaalala ko may dugo na umagos sa mukha ko.
Shemay, nawarak na yata ulo at mukha ko.
Bigla akong nakaramdam ng takot.

Gusto ko ng mag histerikal ng biglang may pumasok.
Isang doctor at yung lalaki kanina.
Lumapit sakin yung doctor at nagsimula ng i-check ang ulo at mga vital signs ko.
"Everything is ok, she'll be fine, maliban sa sugat nya sa noo wala naman ibang problema. Wala naman internal bleeding so pwede na siyang lumabas mamaya hintayin nyo lang yung mga nireseta kong gamot."
Maliban daw sa sugat sa noo, so ibig sabihin ba nun ok pa rin ang mukha ko, di nawasak.
Umalis na yung doctor at naiwan kami nung lalaking...

Sheme, ang gwapo pala ng taong ito. Kung magkakabukol ako uli at puputok ang noo, keri lang basta siya din magliligtas sakin.

I thank my brain cells for that.
Medyo napayuko siya at nagkamot ng batok.
"Miss, sorry, ano kasi, ahm yung pusa ko kasi umakyat dun sa puno, sinama ko kasi kanina sa park, habang nag-lalakad kami natakot siya dun sa kasalubong namin na pitbull so ayun nga umakyat siya sa puno then hindi na siya makababa kaya umakyat na din ako para kunin siya kaso nabali yung sanga na naapakan ko at yun yung tumama sa ulo mo. Natawa ako sa ginawa nya. Honestly, di naman ako nagagalit sa kanya, mas ok nga ito eh, kahit papaano nadidivert ang attention ko sa physical pain, dahil ito may pag-asang gumaling eh yung pain sa puso ko mukhang malabo pang gumaling.
Natawa ako sa naisip ko dahil para akong sira.
Tiningnan ko siya ulet at mas lalo akong natawa sa itsura nya.
"Miss, ok ka lang, bakit ka natawa? Nakakatawa ba yung kweto ko?" Nagtatakang tanong niya.
"Ah, hinde. May naalala lang ako."
He nodded and plastered a confused smile.
I just smiled back at him.
"Nga pala, I'm Alexandro Luna Santillan, Alex for short and please allow me na alagaan ka kahit man lang hanggang sa gumaling ang sugat mo please, di mapapanatag ang konsensya ko hanggang hindi ka nagiging ok." he said with a serious face.
Ako naman ang nangunot ang noo sa kanyang mga sinabi.
"Seryoso ka? Ano ka ba diba nga sabi ng doctor ok na ako so ok na yun, wala ng problema sakin. Kung iniisip mo itong sugat ko naku maliit na bagay." sabi ko na nakangiti.
Nakita kong halos magdikit na ang mga kilay niya sa pagkunot ng kanyang noo.
Natawa ako.
"Alam mo sa pinagdadaanan ko ngayon mas gugustuhin ko pa na mabukulan kesa sa ma broken hearted."
I saw a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
"Ah, so broken hearted ka." Sabi niya.
Napaisip ako, tama ba itong ginagawa ko. He's a stranger. Pero sabagay mas magandang mag-share sa di mo kakilala atleast hindi nya ako ijujudge diba.
I give him a bitter smile.
I nodded.
He gesture me to move para makaupo siya sa tabi ko kaya umusog ako ng konti.
"So what's the catch? nambabae ba?"
Umiling ako.
"Nope, friendzone."
"Seryoso? Sa ganda mong yan na friendzone ka?"

Kumunot ang noo ko. Ako ba yung sinasabihan nya ng tanga?
Mukhang nabasa nya ang nasa isipan ko.

Napangiti ako. Yung ngiti na umabot sa mata ko.
"Lalo kang gumaganda kapag nakangiti ka."
Napatawa ako sa sinabi nya.
"Siguro ang dami mong babae ano, ang galing mong mambola eh."

"Ay agad-agad."
"Yap, simula nung nakita kita."
"Ay anak ka ng tokwa, wag ako uy, quota na ako. Wag ka ng dumagdag."
Natawa siya.
"Pero seryoso miss... Teka ano pala pangalan mo?"
"I'm Elieve Mendoza Aragon."
"Cute name bagay sa magandang kagaya mo."
Mahabaging langit, eh nemen eh, kinikikig ako.
