Chapter 2 Fiancée

Buenos Aires

At the top floor of the skyscraper of Munoz Group was the president's office.

Sebastian Munoz stood by the window, hands in pocket, the aura around him was cold exuding power and strong masculinity.

He had a healthy skin colour,an angular cold handsome face, thick eyebrows under a pair of black deep eyes, high nose, thin and thick moderate lips.

His whole personality and looks exuded a King's atmosphere. And he was literally regarded as a King in this city.

When he was twenty-two,he had succeeded his father,in taking charge of the entire Munoz Group and in just a few years,he developed the group to a higher stance.

"Sir, you checkup report yesterday showed that things aren't going too well, though the toxins in your body had been slowly decreasing before, this time, the poisonous eruption had caused more damage to your body, you'll have to cooperate with the treatment." Raphael sat on the leather sofa speaking with a serious expression about the situation on the report card.

At the sound of his voice, Sebastian turned his head and glanced at him, faintly, his expression not changing much. As if those words were not meant for him.

He had more pressing matters on his mind.

"The pills I gave you before, how's the research on the ingredients going?"Sebastian asked.

Raphael didn't expect him to suddenly ask about this. After pondering for three seconds, he replied, "We still don't know what it's made of."

Honestly, as a pharmaceutical expert, he was more interested in understanding the genius behind the creation of such a drug. If they could find the maker of the pill, Sebastian's poison would surely be neutralized.

Sebastian sighed recalling the girl who had saved him six years ago.

The girl who had gave him that pill.

He had desperately searched for her for so long but it was as if the person who saved him never existed.

The girl was very young, and it seemed unlikely that she was the creator of the pill. However, he had no other options. This was his only lead regarding the girl. Unbeknownst to anyone, he cared more about her than finding the antidote.

He just wanted to know who she was, what she was doing out there that night and why she had saved him.

Did she perhaps know who he was?

But after all this time, there was still not a single clue to be found.

He rubbed his temple, frustratedly.

Seeing the look on his face,Raphael let out, "Sir,did you contact Dr Paz? She's an incredible medical genius, maybe she can find the solution to your problem."

Sebastian narrowed his eyes and turned his head to Bruno, his assistant who was standing by the side of the room.

"What the Dr Paz say?"

"She declined the invitation to meet up with you again."

Dr Paz had a high reputation in the medical world, rumor has it that her few silver needles can bring people back to life, only that this person stays mainly out of sights. She works depending on her mood to take orders.

Bruno had offered fifty million dollars for her to meet up with his boss, but the other party refused.

Upon hearing this,Sebastian was not swayed. He slightly raised his sharp and cold gaze.

"Double the price."He instructed.

He strongly felt that Dr Paz might know about that girl. Now he couldn't afford to miss any opportunities.

Ding-ling, ding-ling.

Suddenly, the landline on Sebastian's desk rang. The three people present were all stunned. Who would call the CEO's internal line?

Sebastian looked up at Bruno, who immediately shook his head in terror. He had no idea what was going on! He had emphasized not to use this internal line without permission!

Sebastian sighed, suppressing his anger as he pressed the speakerphone button. "What is it?"

The voice on the other end came from the front desk downstairs, stuttering, "S-Sir... I'm very sorry..."

Sebastian impatiently interrupted her, "Don't waste words."

His cold tone froze the person on the other end, who quickly reported, "Sir, there's a lady who wishes to see you."

This statement thoroughly angered Sebastian, who had already run out of patience. With a dark gaze, he questioned, "Is this your first day on the job?"

Implicit in his words was the suggestion that if such a simple matter couldn't be handled, it might be better not to work at all.

Seeing his boss about to explode, Bruno quickly spoke to ease the tension, "Who is the lady?"

The cautious voice on the phone replied, "She... she said... she is our boss's... fiancée..."

Downstairs, Andrea stood in front of the reception desk, awaiting an answer.

People around her were throwing glances, well aware that their boss despised women. They wondered how she had the nerve to claim to be the CEO's fiancée.

However, after the front desk reported, a thunderous roar echoed from the phone, "I don't have a damn fiancée!"

The voice was so loud that even Andrea could hear it. The receptionist, instinctively affected by the volume, pulled the receiver away.

As if anticipating the reaction, Andrea shouted into the phone, "I'm not making pointless claims. I have proof that we're engaged!"

The air hung silent for what felt like an eternity for everyone present, anxiously awaiting Sebastian's judgment.

Soon, a sigh came through the receiver, followed by, "Let her come up."

All eyes widened instantly.

What was going on?! This woman was actually the boss's fiancée!

Smiling, Andrea, under the shocked gazes of everyone, was escorted upstairs.

***

Upstairs, Sebastian forcefully hung up the phone, pressing his throbbing temples as he walked towards the window.

The woman claimed to have evidence. He knew exactly what it was—a diamond pendant.

Since childhood, his grandmother had repeatedly told him about his fiancée, who would come with a memento. He never expected it to happen for real.

No, this couldn't be! He needed to find a way to send this woman away.

However, he wasn't too worried; he believed that offering some money should resolve the issue.

With this thought in mind, he turned to Bruno, who was still in shock, and instructed, "Prepare a blank check."

At that very moment, Andrea had been led to the top floor.

The CEO's office was the only office on this floor so it wasn't hard for her to locate it.

Through the glass door, she saw three men standing inside the office.

Without knocking, she walked in and called, tentatively.

"Sebastian Munoz?"

The gentle, sweet voice of the young girl rang out like a sweet, clear spring.

Sebastian glanced at her with impatience, furrowing his brow in preparation to ask how much money she wanted. However, with just one look, he was hit by the biggest shock of his life.

The girl was wearing a beige crocheted shirt and a maxi skirt, her feet were encased in a pair of flat shoes, her long back slightly curly hair was draped behind her. With a cool temperament, fair skin, picturesque eyebrows, and eyes like twinkling stairs, she looked pure and young.

Most importantly, those eyes—the most beautiful gray eyes he had ever seen.

It was her!

The girl from six years ago, the one he had dreamed of incessantly, the girl he had longed for!
