Returning His Favor

"Cruz! We were having a good time, please let's not ruin it for something so trivial." Mrs. Roberts intervened.

"No, big mommy. The good time has already been ruined. I guess the new…'Intern' is so special to him and he is making it obvious that my opinion doesn't matter. I'm sorry for being so nosy." Dr. Campbell lashed at him before attempting to leave the office but Cruz caught her arm and pulled her back.

"You don't have to be so upset. I'm sorry?" Cruz apologized and stared pitifully into her eyes until she fell for it and sluggishly sat back.

"You don't have to worry about Jessica because she is only staying here for a month." Cruz explained.

Though Valeria wasn't okay with the explanation, she had to let it be so as not to make her jealousness too obvious.

"I invited you both in for coffee and cookies, right? So let's have that before leaving." Cruz suggested as he went to the refrigerator in his office and brought out a packet of cookies before going to make some coffee i
