48. Opening the Heart
It was out last here in Paris. Last two days, we couldn’t go anywhere even though I wanted to but Nandini was not ready to let me step out of the bed. She was adamant not to go anywhere today as well. I had to convince her a lot. But she warned me a thousand times I guess that I should tell her, if I feel I am not okay. After that, she agreed.
We were roaming in the busy streets of Paris doing nothing. Our fingers were entwined with each other. We were talking to each other. In between, Nandini kept asking me if I was or not. I replied to her patiently. It has been a long time since anyone showed this much concern to me. I was loving the attention.
“Manik, ice cream!” Suddenly Nandini shouted in joy with her eyes beaming in happiness.
