75. The night he was kidnapped

The red sports car came to a stop in front of the entrance of Brooklyn Tower, and Kevin glanced at Sara, who was engrossed in reading a document file.

"Do you have all the documents?" he asked.

Sara closed the file and met his gaze. "Yes, I have everything. But I'm still nervous. I indicated in the application that I am married. Now, suddenly being divorced, I don’t have marriage certificate to submit."

"Don't worry about it. Trust me, the HR Department will assist you and won't give you any trouble over this. You can simply ask them to update your relationship status," Kevin assured her.

Sara nodded, her smile gentle. "Thank you. I'll go now."

Kevin checked his wristwatch and said, "It's three o'clock. You should be able to complete the formalities within two hours. Give me a call once you're done, okay? And don't hesitate to reach out to me if they give you any trouble."
