272. Something you didn't do

Jemma was getting ready to leave as she finished her work when Jay suddenly barged into her office. His face showed a mix of sadness and anger. Slowly, Jemma stood up, seeing him.

"I couldn't believe him when he said he slept with you. I kept asking you why we broke up. And now I see, you betrayed me," Jay uttered, his voice filled with hurt.

Jemma gripped her phone tightly, understanding why he was reacting this way. He took a step closer, his expression pained. "I was actually coming to apologize for what I did yesterday. I felt so happy thinking you cared for me, fooling myself into believing you still had feelings for me. But you were never really into me."

Jay's accusation hit Jemma hard, leaving her speechless and dazzled with a sense of guilt and sorrow.

She couldn't bear the weight of his accusations.

"Jay..."

"No! You listen to me," Jay interrupted.

"If you were over me, why did you keep pretending? Why string me along until our wedding? You should've said no to my proposal.
