The next morning, Nina woke up in Theo's arms. His warm embrace chased away the cold around her, engulfing her in his warm cocoon. She is yet to open her eyes, but still she can tell that he is awake. He is hugging her from behind, her back to his front. One of his arms is cushioning her head, while his other hand is sitting just over her bare hip bone, making sure not to cause any discomfort to her by putting weight on her injured stomach.

After his promise to own her last night, he checked the dressing of her now healing wound and insisted that she wear one of his T shirts to bed.
