The dim light, sweaty bodies, loud music, and the cringe sight did nothing to straighten out Sophie's anxiety. Her sweaty palm twitches once in a while and while she grabs her handbag for a mini sense of comfort it did nothing to fulfill her wishes.
She just wanted to get out, the dress she had borrowed from Kayla felt like a prison on her body. It did make her look gorgeous and Sexy but it was very uncomfortable. She couldn't even breathe. Her left eyebrow twitches now and then begging to be scratched. That is what happens whenever she puts on makeup, her face always begs her to ruin the work. It always results in a burning sensation that she hasn't managed to learn how to ignore. Kayla was perfect with the art and the girl know how to work her way with the brushes but Sophie's skin and makeup don't just mix.
“ By the time you enter that club, men will cream their pants at first sight” Kayla had said after adding the final touches to the makeup. Yes, Kayla was right, Men are indeed currently undressing her shamelessly with their eyes and it made her skin crawl at the Unwanted attention.
She is still a Virgin and new to all these sexual advances. Even with her nice curves carved into perfection with a nice Slim waist and flat tummy to boast of. With tan skin and cute freckles that dusted her face just a few inches below her green eyes. With massive unruly, curly auburn air. At age twenty-one, she never had a boyfriend. And that means never having sex either.
She watched her friends get boyfriends and talk about just how perfect their relationship was, how perfect the kisses were, and all other smutty stuff. Not to forget the butterfly feelings they get in their stomach. She never had her own stories to share which is unbelievable because she is very attractive and she has this strong gaze that will make any man kneel.
But little do they know is that Sophie Harris's only memory of what can be described as a kiss was in middle during a school picnic when the school bully, a cute boy named Jamey decided it was fun to steal her first kiss most sloppily. The kiss can be described as no kiss at all, it doesn't deserve to be her first kiss but wishes don't get granted always do they?
And the only thing close to fluttering butterfly feelings in her belly she ever felt was the mosquito bites she got on a camping trip, they had been all itchy and ticklish but felt incredibly great while scratching them.
Not that she doesn't want to date or is not attractive to men or that she prefers the other side. She is straight and can swear on anything on that but aside from her pretty looks and a great body with a nice personality every guy will describe her as a keeper. Her life was the opposite, she had grown up in abject poverty where she fed from hand to mouth every day.
It had always been hard with her parents struggling to raise them on their minimum wages. Everything got worse when her mother suddenly died of high blood pressure. Her family went downhill with one source of income gone. Sophie started working immediately even though she was still a high schooler, she had a younger brother Noah who is still in middle school and her alcoholic father doesn't help their situation either.
She had been picked on by her schoolmates for wearing faded clothes or not being able to afford lunch but she held on to her life because of Noah and her once-loving father. She avoided boys like the plague because of what Aunty Mari always said about the other gender. She could remember getting an anxiety attack because a boy told her he likes her when she was eighteen.
She studied hard so she could apply for the scholarship but she wasn't lucky enough to get one. She had to apply to the only university in her city, not her dream college but will do. Coupled with part-time jobs and all she had been surviving and able to let her brother live too. Going to college on a student loan which she will have to pay up later but everything skyrockets back to square one when her father, the once-loving Mr. Harris started gambling at the local club.
He spent all his money on alcohol after his wife's death which Sophie had to assist by working part-time but he started gambling and currently, he is owing a gang the sum of Ten thousand dollars which Sophie doesn't have and has nowhere to get.
The gang is known to be pretty ruthless when it comes to their money, they only gave Mr. Harris a month to pay up or else they massacre their, entire family. Her father had looked so ashamed when he told Sophie last week Tuesday. She had been so disappointed and frustrated that her roommate Kayla noticed instantly.
Kayla had asked her what was wrong with her Expression immediately Sophie entered the dorm. Not willing to give all the details, she just stared at the ceiling and sighed.
“ If only I can just see Ten thousand dollars as my account balance right now,” Sophie thought aloud which made Kayla chuckle and make a joke about getting a sugar daddy for Sophie. Sophie couldn't remember the joke but had grabbed the word sugar daddy. She knows what sugar daddies and sugar babies do with each other and she knows what that kind of relationship entails.
If getting a sugar daddy will sort out all her financial issues and take her out of poverty for once then she would look for one but how? And if sleeping with men old enough to be her father will get her out of this looming crisis in a way that won't affect her younger brother's life then she is in. A sugar daddy she needs and a sugar daddy she will look for.
The issue of her sexual inexperience hit her like a bucket of cold water on a winter morning. Her woman's dignity and pride shredded the mission away, She suddenly realized that she was going to be giving out her virginity to an old man that won't go gently or treat her lovingly or make her feel like a whole woman but make her feel like a lowly whore.
But anything to survive, her survival instincts kicked her bruised dignity and honor aside and she took a deep breath before deciding to go to that newly opened club just in the middle of the city just to try her luck.
It came as a surprise to Kayla when her “ I am a workaholic student who avoids social gatherings like plague” roommate suddenly want to borrow a dress to wear to a club. Kayla had wished she was hearing things when Sophie asked but apparently, she wasn't. Sophie was loud and clear, serious even.
Kayla felt so bad she couldn't tag along because of her menstrual cramps just to see how Sophie -I don't look at boys, they are not books- Harris will behave at a club but she had been eager to do the poor girls makeup and find a Sexy dress. Then proceed to lecture the club first-timer about losers that get girls drunk just to sleep with them and all the safety tips she thinks Sophie will need.
“ Don't forget to order Angel's shot if a man is acting weird” Kayla had added.
According to Kayla, ordering a shot of Angel's shot is like telling the bartender “ Help me” so Sophie made a mental note at the back of her mind if a man tried stuff on her.
Now Sophie looked around the strange place, she felt alone and uncomfortable with sweaty bodies touching her now and then. She stepped outside and almost cried out about how clueless she was about the entire situation. She doesn't even know how to approach men generally so how will she find a sugar daddy at this point?
“ Remember money needs to be made. Bills need to be paid” she chants in her mind while gulping the fresh air greedily. She took a deep breath and turned around to go back into the club but bumped into a massive wall of muscles instead.
She looks up to meet to strange man's gaze.
“ Holy guacamole” Her inner voice voiced out loud. He looked as pissed as hell but who in the effing world cares? The man looks like a model in one of Kayla's magazines. For the first time in Sophie's life, she felt a flutter in her rib cage. He cleared his throat.
“ Oh my God, I'm so sorry I eh hmmm... Sorry,” she scampers away trying so hard to hide her blush.
“ Hmmm, it's fine. You don't have to act like you saw a ghost” Even though his voice sounds like that of an Angel, it sends signals all shades of wrong to Sophie's spine.
“ Mr. Morgan ”“ Sir?” Alex called while tapping his sleeping boss. The middle-aged secretary stepped back staring as his boss opened his eyes slowly. Alex straightened his back and his Dark blue tie which matches his Dark suit.“ How can I help you” Chris grunted out, the day has not been a good one for him. Well, which day was ever good for Mr. Chris Morgan? Yes, he is the richest businessman in the entire city at just thirty years of age. He inherited the company from his father on the verge of bankruptcy at the age of twenty-five and since then he has worked hard to make the company what it is today.Alex has been his secretary since he took the title of CEO and the man had done a wonderful job at it. He is like the right-hand man of the young Morgan.“ You are getting late for the court sir. Today is the last day of the custody battle” Alex said while pointing at his wristwatch reminding Chris about one of the worst moments of his life.He had met Cecilia when they were in high s
Blink.Blink Blink.Sophie could have sworn she was hearing things when the strange handsome man invited her to join his friends. Like what in the world is happening? Does she look so out of place that this stranger thinks she is lonely? She managed a tight smile at him in return but her mind is definitely in a state of turmoil.“ I mean it's fine if you decline, you don't have to come if you don't want to ” The stranger's words contradict what he wants because his Expression is that of a kid trying to get his parents to buy him ice cream. He looked so cute under the dim light that Sophie couldn't even find it in her mind to refuse him.“ You don't even know me” she blurts out shyly clutching her hand handbag tightly.“ We can start the night again by introducing each other, I'm Chris and you?” the way he uttered the sentences made something stir in Sophie's tummy. It was alarming but also a nice feeling she want to get lost in. It felt so good and she has never behaved like that in f
Who the hell invented alarms? That was the first thought that invaded Sophie's sleepy thought as the torture device kept on blaring. She groaned and tried to move her body only to find out that she is entangle between her sheets and wall of muscles. Hey wait! Muscles? Her eyes flied open and she taken in her surroundings but even that little action invited a pound in her head.An head splitting headache forced her eyes shut again, she grits her teeth together to somehow relief her of the pain but it's not working at all.“ Try not to move Sophie, I'll get you some painkillers” a voice she could not recognize suddenly vibrated beside her and the wall of muscles beside her moves from the bed. Her eyes flew open again.“ Wait where am I?” she shouted with a voice so coarse it made her own ears bleed. Why is she feeling so sick early in the morning? And who is this stranger?“ Just be calm. We will talk after the painkillers” he left the room and she took the opportunity to notice her sur
.Scream!A loud one was the first thing that left Sophie's mouth when she saw the state of her dorm room. Everywhere looked like they had been robbed. Clothes, books, and furniture were scattered everywhere soaked because the perpetrators left their tap open. Looking around she found Kayla curled up in a fetal position at one corner of the room. The girl looked pale like she just witnessed the worst horror of her life. The worst scenario flashed between Sophie's thoughts. Maybe the scum her father was owing had decided to do this to her. They tracked her down to her school and assaulted her roommate. She could feel her heart in her throat. She tried to process everything but said nothing to her roommate. She helped the girl up while trying to panic in fear herself. After setting the traumatized girl on a couch. She try to find words to say but she could barely form any.“ Kayla hmmm what happened here?" Even with the amount of strength, Sophie had put into saying something, the words
Chapter 6.“ Don't fucking tell me you are on your way to work right now!”Chris shook his head at the laziness of his best friend who was currently talking to him on the phone at the moment. He knew Liam must be going through the worst hangover known to man right there. The man never learns, even a sip of alcohol always makes him cry like a baby in the morning but who is the first person to buy one in the club? Of course, it's Liam. He likes getting drunk. That's his way of coping with his stress and past traumas. Even though the pain in the morning is not Worth it, he would still do it all over again.“ I have to earn you know. I don't have a billionaire father” Chris replied but heard Liam groan and let out a whimper from the other side of the line. Liam Kingston is the heir to one of the richest families in the city, his grandfather founded Kingston and co and made a name across the nation. His father took over twenty years ago and he had maintained the same legacy his grandfathe
Chapter 7.After the professor had left, Sophie had to shake her head many times to avoid daydreaming about a certain handsome Billionaire. She just wonders how it's so funny, she has never thought about another man like that before in her entire and suddenly she is thinking about someone she just met not less than twenty-four hours ago.She kept on hearing his voice in her mind, slipping through and invading her sense of reasoning. Of course, Max noticed something was wrong with her the entire shift so when both their shift ended, he went to talk to her.He waited in front of the storage room they always use as a mini changing room. He changed his clothes already in the other room. So he just leans on the wall with his phone in his right hand, texting his girlfriend while waiting for Sophie.A few minutes later, Sophie opened the door and slipped. She almost jumped out of her skin seeing Max suddenly. She wasn't expecting him to be there so it caught her off guard and her obvious Lo
Chapter 8.“ Hello,” the air around Chris sparked with electricity as he heard that voice. His entire mind went numb with that tone. With what he already heard from Liam, he just hoped she is really fine.“ When someone gives you their number, you are supposed to call them Soph,” Chris said trying to ignore the obvious tension between them. He doesn't want her to know he knew everything about her in order not to look like a total creep.“ I'm... Hmmm.. the day has been busy for me. I'm sorry” Sophie replied trying to control her nerves. She tried to work out the entire conversation in her head. How she was going to go about it without sounding stupid and desperate but she doesn't have any plans right now. She wished she had learned about men earlier and had an idea of how they think or what they want but she just doesn't know what to do about it.“ No, it's okay Soph. I'm just glad you called. How has your day been? Oh, I forgot you said you had a long one. Can you tell me about it?”
Chapter 9.“ Chrissy” Liam's voice rang out from Chris's second phone.“ What again? Have you found a way to pay up the money?” Chris said taking his coat off the hanger.“No, Care to tell me why you want to meet up with Sophie all of a sudden?” Liam said accusingly. He knew his friend, Chris is hardly interested in any member of the opposite gender apart from his ex-wife. For Chris to want a full background check on someone he just met within that period that person is special.“ I'm just curious about her”“ Just curious? Hmm,” Liam let out a throaty laugh.“ Chrissy I know you too well to know when you want to get into a lady's pants. You hardly do but you still do” Liam teased.“ It's not like that you jerk! I just find her interesting” Chris defended a little too fast fueling his friend's amusement.“It's not like that I know. I don't blame You, any man would go crazy for that ass. Damn, your girl is loaded...” Chris hung up on him before he could continue his shenanigans. He sm
