“What's going on?” Karen asked, as she met Liam's gaze, waiting for him to start talking. She couldn't help feeling slightly nervous as she wondered what he might say, and how serious it was. Seeing as his demeanor had drastically changed the moment he asked her to talk about whatever it was he wanted to talk about, it was clear to Karen that it was very important.
