I sat by Jake's bedside in the hospital, staring at him as he laid unconscious. I held both his hands and tears kept falling from my eyes. It could have been me. I would have been dead if the car had run me over at such a speed.

And Jake's condition was all my fault. He would have been fine if he did not save me, again. I would find the culprit, no matter what. But first, I needed him to open his eyes. I just wanted him to smile and tell me that he was okay. I wouldn't ask for anything else.
