Bridal Shower

“Cass!”

“I’m holding you! You won’t fall. Just trust me.”

“Aren’t we there yet?”

“We are! Just few more steps!”

Two days passed and today, the bachelors party and bridal shower are happening simultaneously. I’m blindfolded while Cassandra is assisting me. I actually said I don’t want this since I don’t really have friends to go with, but Cassandra won the argument.

“We’re here!”

“Can I take off the blindfold now?”

“Yes!” I took it off and blinked for a few times. “Surprise!” When my vision was cleared, I looked around and saw Irene.

“Irene? Why are you here?”

“Same question. Why am I here? It’s not like I can decline the offer of the Cassandra Zach.” Cassandra pulled me and Irene closer.

“What’s with you two? Aren’t you cousins? Both of you are the only female Harris, you should have been besties!”

“Besties? Yeah, right. More like mortal enemies,” I said.
