Chapter 71 Dear Diary.

He was home and it felt lonely once again. It was the first time in a long while that he had been left with no one. No Fiancée who’d constantly call to brag about her day. No wife who’d always try to interact with him.

No one, and it felt utterly lonely.

Staring at his reflection on the mirror, Lucien pulled off his tie, his suit followed and then finally his three piece. He went in for a quick shower and when he reemerged, he was dressed in a grey sweat top and sweatpants of matching color. He dried his hair with a hand towel while walking towards his bed and then finally flopping down in it.

He laid on his back while staring at the ceiling. It was white and blank, surprisingly like his life right now. He had never actually realized it, and when he did, he had realized too late, but Alexandra had always been the color in his life. She stuck out in everything like a sore thumb. In their wedding photo, her handwriting and every little thing that followed after, she was just different.
