Chapter 29 This Must Be Fate.

Thunder clapped in the background right on time, acting like a paid actor to Octavia’s miserable demise.

The noirette stood frozen as last night’s action repeated itself, only this time, in bigger folds. After a few seconds, her ears began to ring and tear gushed down her face, doubling the look of despair on her face.

Lucien took one look at her for the last time and turned his back on her, retiring into the comfort of his bedroom.

As of today, his relationship with Octavia no longer existed. He could no longer tolerate her hypocrisy and couldn’t see himself spending the rest of his life with a woman like her.

Octavia’s mind could no longer comprehend what was going on for the first few seconds as she watched the man she once dearly loved turn his back on her and walk away.

Her whole world had been shattered once again.
