Chapter 126 Enigma.

Alexandra was an enigma.

That much was clear to Darius. She was like a spirited away ghost that didn’t want anybody’s help in carrying out its vengeance. Scary at times but passionate and he respected that and some part of him also wished he had the type of passion and burning fire she did. Maybe then he’d have been able to see to it that his mother was brought to justice.

Darius admired that about her and couldn’t help replaying the conversation they had held both now and the previous night as he typed in his door’s pass code and stepped in. As the security machine beeped behind him, the male took notice of the fact that there was another shoe at the door. He narrowed his eyes and stepped forward.

“Quinn?” He called out and almost immediately a response came from the kitchen.

“Yeah? You back?” The voice of his best friend was followed by the sound of culinary. She stepped out of the kitchen as Darius began pulling off his shoes. “You’re back early.” She eyed him. “Why?”
