Early in the morning, I got up to check on the cafe, which was in perfect order. I don't know how Jess did it but she performed a miracle. I got Domenic's shirt out of the dryer and put it into a paper bag before going to the hospital. I got there just as a nurse was leaving Summer's room. "Good morning, how is she? Did she wake up?" I asked quickly. "She is doing great, she should wake up any moment now." The nurse told me. "Is it ok if I wait inside? I won't disturb her." "Of course, Mr. Davis gave instructions to let you in when you came." He did? "Is he here?" I asked as I looked through the window into Summer's room. "He just stepped out for a coffee. He stayed the whole night." He did. Of course he did. I thanked the nurse and went into the room. When I sat by her bed it occurred to me that I could have bought some flowers. Summer looked pale, her hair a bit tangled. I took her hand in mine and noticed her nails were broken, she must have fought with her assailant. Sudden
I saw him get into the elevator and I jumped in as the doors were about to close. I even surprised him. "Autumn, what are...""What the hell was that?" I interrupted him."What?" He said as he put his arm on the elevator wall next to my head. He was so close his smell surrounded me hazing my mind, but I had to push through it so I walked past him to the opposite wall."I thought we had an agreement, Domenic, we talked about this. We are not friends, one thing is us having to share the same space for Summer, and something completely different is the crap you just pulled off in there." Domenic licked his lips as he walked over to the control board and stopped the elevator."What are you doing?" I asked him as he began to walk towards me, caging me up against the wall with his hands."First of all, I don't remember agreeing to anything you said yesterday, as you recall I didn't say a word. But there is one thing you got right. We are not friends." Domenic said as he drew his body closer
Two weeks later I was standing in the one place I never imagined myself, Domenic's kitchen, trying to save the last piece of toast he just burned."I told you I would do it." I say to him as I try to fish out the toast from the toaster. Iv been coming to his penthouse to help him take care of Summer because she refused to get a nurse, and once I offered it's not like I could take it back. "It's a toast. How complicated could it be?" Said Domenic to which I just waved the burned toast in his face."Does anyone care that I don't even want the toast?" Summer yelled from the living room couch."Fine, I'll make you a smoothie bowl." I yelled back as I moved to the refrigerator and Domenic went to clean the counter. "You don't need to do it, I'll clean it later." I say as I put the fruit on the cutting board. He tossed the bread crumbs aside as he walked over to me from behind pinning my stomach onto the kitchen island as he prests himself against my ass."Since the first time you entered
I didn't come out until I heard the door close. With Summer asleep I decided to cook us dinner. From what Summer had told me, Domenic doesn't have a cook here or a maid. He takes care of everything by himself. This is probably why the fridge was empty, the drawer filled with take-out menus. Ohh yeah and the burned toast. With no other choice, I ordered some groceries and made the dinner by the time Summer woke up. I helped her to the living room. "Eating tomato soup on this white couch doesn't seem like a good idea Summer." I say as I give her the plater. "I just feel comfortable here, how about we put on a movie or something?" "Sure, just don't spill it because I'll be sleeping on it tonight." I say as I get the TV remote. "What movie?" I asked as I sat down next to her. "Whatever, just not horror." Noted. We settled down on a romance movie and ate our dinner, when I was finished I got up to take the plates. "You didn't eat much soup, you didn't like it.?" I asked as I saw he
Domenic got on his feet and went to turn off the alarm on my phone while I struggled to put on the bathrobe. "What are you doing here?" I say as I get up, fixing the robe down my legs. "Last I checked this was my room." He said as he fixed the waistband on his boxers. "You know what I mean, you are supposed to be on a trip. And besides how dare you lay in the same bed as me, not to mention kiss me." I wiped my mouth with my hand trying to shake the feeling of him on me. "I only did what you begged me to do." I did, my God he actually made me beg for him. "I thought it wasn't real, ok? I thought I was dreaming." I said as I went to grab my phone from his hands. But instead of taking it Domenic grabbed my hands and pulled me towards him locking me in place with his hands around my waist. "You often dream of me? He asked, but not in a mocking way, but rather in a gentle serious way. "Let go of me." I say as I struggle against him. "First answer me. Am I the man of your dreams?" He
The hot, dark and handsome man was replaced with a furious-looking Domenic Davis Jones. He came by my side, took my hand and then proceeded to drag me across the club, up the stairs until we came behind closed doors leaving the noise behind us. He almost banged my back against the door when he swung me to cage me with his hands. His fist met the wall next to my head as he growled "Mine.". I wasn't drunk, tipsy at most but I clearly saw how his eyes darkened with desire. "Don't you ever again let another man touch you Autumn, I swear you don't know what I'm capable of when someone touches what's mine." The air in my lungs caught fire. I had to take a few seconds to gather my thoughts, not wanting to do something stupid in an impulse. "Domenic I don't want to have this conversation again. I'm not yours." I say as I push on his chest trying to make some space between us. "Cut the bulls*it, Autumn, you are mine as much as I am yours." Domenic said fiuresly. "Well, that settles it be
Summer was waiting with my jacket and bag while Domenic walked behind me. She handed them to me and then we walked outside where two cars were waiting for us. "Summer the driver will drive you home, and please go to sleep. I'll drive Autumn home." Domenic barked his orders. "I already told you, you do not have to drive me." I say as I try to move next to Summer but he stops me once again. "There is no point in resisting Autumn, when this control freak sets his mind on something there is no power on earth that can change it." Summer admitted defeat as she hugged me and entered the car. Domenic took my hand and led me to the passenger seat. "I can walk on my own." I say as he opens the passenger door. "Get in." He ordered me as he used his body as a way of stopping me from leaving. God, he was controlling but hell was it attractive. I got into the car and he went so far as trying to put my seatbelt on. "Stop that, I can manage it myself." I tried to take it from his hands but the
Today I was determined not to think about him. I stayed in the cafe and buried myself in work so I wouldn't have time to think about anything else. I wasn't gonna see Summer today, so the possibilities of running into him were low. Or so I thought. As I was restocking the bar area a package was delivered to me. I immediately knew from who it was. I took the box upstair to my apartment and set in on my coffee table. I think I stared at that box for a good half an hour before finally opening it. It was a musical snow globe. Snow globes used to be one of my favorite things I had since I was a child, mom used to get me these for Christmas. This one had inside of it a small wooden house surrounded by trees. The windows were painted to look as if light were coming from inside. When Domenic and I were together, back in school. We talked about what would be the perfect place to go on a vacation after graduation. He insisted it would have to be small and private, like a cabin in the woods
