My whole world seemed to have been crumbling upon me. My conscience and everything within me that I thought had died started speaking against me. What have you done, John? What is she thinking of me now?

I had no answer to those questions. I could feel my heart racing and my hands shaking. My limbs were already sweaty, and my hard, erect dick had already shrieked completely.

I braised myself, got my act together, and went to Sarah's room to seek an apology. That's just the best thing I can do in a situation like this.

It just happened within a split second. I didn't have any control over myself. It isn't my fault at all.

“It is your fault, John. You should have had control over that thing between your legs” My conscience just kept banging my head with reasons to put the blame on myself.

I have been standing outside Sarah's door for close to a minute now, but I haven't heard a single word from her.

Are you sure she didn't storm out of the house? No, I heard her bang the door immediat

Sarah's POVThree hours in a room, and I can't believe I intentionally and forcefully decided to confine myself in her. I just decided to stay away from John for a while, after the whole incident. It's a good thing that when I returned to my room in a haste, Rosaline wasn't still there.John has been trying to get me out to listen to him. But I don't want to even see him. I am not angry with him for trying to have some fun with me. I just feel I can't resist him if he tries again. His eyes are too charming. It will be very hard for me to say no. He just kept knocking on the door like he was going to break it the next minute. I had to stand up from my bed where I was doing nothing, and open the door.I left only a little space there for me to peek through and see him. “I told you that I want to be alone!” I said sternly. I looked into his eyes, but all I could see was a young man who was so sorry for his deeds.“Sarah, I didn't mean to disrespect or harass you. I am deeply sorry for wh

  • Bidding for love   Chapter 69

Sarah's POVI just sat there pondering on what to tell Rosaline. I can't tell her that I got carried away and allowed myself to lust after John. That would sound so ridiculous. She has always had the impression that I have been yearning to be touched by……“Sarah!” She snapped her finger under my nose, forcing me to snap out of my momentary loss in my mind.“I…I am sorry, I got lost there” I apologised while trying to make everything look less suspicious as well.“I asked you a question, and you zoned off. Are you hiding something” she arched her eyebrows as she folded her arms while looking at me.“Why are you giving me that look?” I asked in bewilderment. I couldn't tell if she was trying to exert dominance over the conversation, or she was just being too curious.“I am sorry if I crossed my boundaries a bit there. I was just curious” She apologised immediately and created a little distance between me and her on the bed.“No, you didn't. I was actually going to tell you. I just don't

Sarah's POV She was gradually getting a hold of her uncontrollable laughter, and I patiently waited for her to say something to me. “You should have seen how pathetic you looked there” She chuckled. I don't understand. “What are you trying to say?” I asked to get more clarity on what she was trying to insinuate. “The way you begged me to trust you. Sarah, you're such a clown” She said. I don't know where the conversation is going. I was filled with bewilderment as I folded my arms and remained in a sitting position. “You actually thought I was going to cry. I just wanted to see if you would tell me something interesting about you and John, but it was a waste” Rosaline said while she continued styling my hair. Out of frustration and anger, I removed her hand from my hair and looked at her reflection in the mirror as she fixed her eyes on me as well. “You think that was funny? I was a bit tense there” I replied. “I don't get the hang of it. Why would you be tense?” She asked curious

  • Bidding for love   Chapter 71

John's POVWhat did I just say? I love her! I don't know what her reaction was going to be. I can feel my heart rate going up. No, my head is spinning. I can't think straight. Water! I need water!Sarah looked like she was trying to process what she had just heard. “I am sorry sir” She said confusingly. I didn't expect this kind of reaction. I trusted my instincts. I could tell that she was in love with me.“Pardon!” I asked politely. I had taken a cup of water and was able to control the unwanted sensations that were just going through my nerves.“I am sorry, sir, I didn't hear you well,” She stuttered. I could tell how hard it was for her to make that sentence.“I don't know how it sounds. But it is the truth. I am not lying this time. I love you, Sarah” I said while keeping close eye contact with her.“The last time you said this, I was made a fool out of it” She highlighted. I clearly remember toying with her heart then. I wish she could just see the amount of love I have for her.

  • Bidding for love   Chapter 72

Sarah's POVI did not know how to express the amount of shock my brain tried to absorb at that moment. I had gotten a call from John to come downstairs, which I didn't hesitate to oblige. Just to meet a brand new car parked outside the house. He had my name boldly written on the windshield of the car. That was to show that the car was mine. “You have a car my love” He had his arms open while he stood next to the car. I quickly rushed towards him and had myself sink into his warm embrace. I didn't see this coming. “Are you serious? Am I dreaming?” I sobbed softly on his shoulder. He gave me a soft pat on the back while caressing my hair slowly. “Yes, it's yours. Here are the keys” He flaunted it to my face. I wasn't quite acquainted with the skill of driving, so he opted to take the car on a run for me. I entered the passenger side, while John entered the driver's seat. It was a porsche. A four wheel drive. I don't know too much about cars, but I know this one moves very fast.

  • Bidding for love   Chapter 73

John's POVIt just came as an urge. The urge to tell her something regarding my life. A secret I have always tried to keep, even away from myself. There she was, eager and ready to hear what I had to say. I took a deep breath and looked her in the eyes. Her heart was too pure, and she looked very innocent. I didn't want to say anything that would scare her, but I had to take the risk. “You're just quiet. I don't have a problem if you decide to keep it to yourself” she said. She cares about me. A lady who has seen through my heart of stone, and yet she still found in me a man worthy to be loved.“I want to talk. My past relationship with Rebecca” I cleared my throat. “It was one of the sweetest relationships if you ask me,” I said. I know I should not be talking about this now. I have said something similar to her, but I don't know why I was prompted to just bring up the topic.“I thought you said you'll never tell me about her ?” she asked. “I guess I have, but you need to hear

  • Bidding for love   Chapter 74

John's POVI certainly didn't want to lose my life, so I was very careful. A gun was next to my head, and if I made any careless move, he was going to pull the trigger. So silly of me not to have realised that Marshal could do something like this. “Stay back. I will shoot” He shot the gun upwards, threatening them that he had the grit to kill me. Fortunately for me, I had quite a sound knowledge about combat. Disarming him was easy. First, a hit from my elbow to the right side of his stomach. That hit affected his liver. I quickly used that advantage to disarm him of the gun. Poor Marshal was now at my mercy. He went on his knees, as he groaned from the pain of that hit. “I am sorry. I will bring your money now” He pleaded. I wasn't in the mood to just let somebody who tried to kill me like that. “You're no longer in a position to set terms here. I am going to tell you what to do” I said firmly. My boys went ahead and carried him back to the chair he was tied to earlier. Th

  • Bidding for love   Chapter 75

John's POVI agreed to his promise anyway. This was a case of my money, and I wasn't a party to accommodating anybody who tries to steal from me.“Start talking, my friend,” I said with a soft smile on my face.“This lady walked up to me in my office,” He started. The beginning got my attention anyway.“She offered to pay me with the money we stole from you, if I was able to provide information regarding you” He continued.“Which information?” I asked curiously.“She asked if I had any information regarding your girlfriend. Her background, anything that the CIA could provide” He said.“Why will a lady be looking for so much?” I asked with a perplexed look on my face.“Look John, this is too much for me to answer. I have told you all I know. She also threatened to kill me if I leaked our deal to anyone. Even you” He barked.“I bet you, this is our little secret. I need you to ID this woman for me. Is it this lady here?” I brought out a picture of Rebecca that I had in my suit.He was h

Raymond is the only real friend I've ever had in my entire life I never expected that I was going to meet him after we both graduated and parted ways.“Come on, John. Compared to all you have here.”“Don't be fooled,” I chuckled.Raymond leaned in towards me.“Who's the lucky lady?” He whispered.I paused for a while.“That reminds me. How about Stella? Did you both end up married,” I scoffed.Raymond smiled. “Of course we didn't. She's happily married to another man now.”“What happened,” I piqued.“We…It just couldn't work out. Sarah's POVThe pain was becoming unbearable. It just kept replaying. The scene of how he just walked out that door without looking back. But there was no way I could blame him. My mother didn't give him a choice.“You should definitely blame him for being a coward,” Lily said.I lifted my heavy face and locked my eyes on her.“Don't give me that look. Did he?” She had so much confidence behind her tone.“You have no idea what that man is passing through,” I sniffled.“Stop crying. I need to get som

You can have her. I guess this is the price I will have to pay,” I said bluntly.I alighted from the sofa and made an attempt to take my leave. But Sarah grabbed my arm. I didn't want to come in between a family. If her mother was going to see this act of mine, as proof of my love for her daughter, then I don't have a choice.I looked at Sarah as words eluded my lips.I just loosened her grip on me and left immediately without turning back.I entered the car, and the driver dr

I need my daughter back. What don't you understand?” She barked.“But we love each other. All we need is for you to accept our union,” I replied calmly.“I don't want to see her around you. Can't you understand?”Sarah made an attempt to express her rage to her mother, but I signalled her to remain calm.I heaved a sigh of frustration. “Let's meet up, and then we can talk about this again. You will pick the location.”Her mother hesitated. “My house. I'll be waiting to take my daughter back.”The line went dead immediately. It was certain now. The hatred her mother had for me was unimaginable.I thought it was something that would eventually subside, but this isn't the case.“Why do y

He hasn't even hurt me. We were just having a good time.” I struggled with the cops as they placed a handcuff on John's hands. But they pulled me away from him as I struggled to hold on to him.My mother just went ahead to hit John repeatedly with her handbag as he was taken out of the building.Shockingly, John displayed no form of resistance. He was just so calm as the cops took him away.My tears just poured like water from my eyes as I wailed in pain while watching the drag my lover away. This wasn't something which I planned to sit back and watch.“Get a hold of yourself, woman. • Bidding for love   Chapter 86

John's POVI was already feeling nervous.I knew deep down that Sarah was never going to allow me to do what I was planning to do, but her mother was desperate.“Speak up, young man,” Sarah's mother said.“I am sorry, ma. Like I said. I will tell you everything you need to know,” I assured her.Right now, she had all her attention on me, and she was ready to hear all I had to say.“I signed a contract with Sarah. I was the person who paid for your medical bills. It came with a price,” I started.“A contract? What was this contract about?” She asked.“A contract marriage. For one year,” I replied.Meanwhile, Sarah felt like dropping into the ground immediately.“So, this is why Sarah couldn't come back? She was certainly paying off this debt that she owed you.”I nodded in positive affirmation.“Sarah, you shouldn't have gone through this stress because of me,” she said.“I think I'll take my leave now,” I stood up from the chair.Sarah's weary eyes were locked onto me as we both gazed

  • Bidding for love   Chapter 85

Sarah's POVI couldn't seem to place why John had to interrupt the introduction. I sensed fear coming from him. Condition it be that he was scared of my mother having to frown at our relationship? My mother, on the other hand, looked quite suspicious. Her gaze on John was unwavering. “Mum, what's the problem?” I broke the silence in the room. Mum's face hardened. “I have seen him somewhere. But you're welcome anyway,” Mum said. I bet John was uncomfortable at this moment. He slowly sat on the sofa, with his instincts flared. “John, right?” Mum still pressed on with her suspicion. “Yes…Yes ma,” John replied. Mum's countenance brightened immediately, as if she recalled something in an instant. “That's right. You're the man. John Stones,” Mum said. Everybody was in bewilderment of what was going on. I couldn't tell what she was trying to do. “He's the man they said… He kidnapped you. Yes, he is the man,” Mum said furiously. She ragefully stood up from her chair and tried to

John's POVWatching a girl in distress because of me wasn't supposed to make me flinch. But seeing Sarah cry because of her made me pissed. That went extremely down to my nerves. “Can you stop?” I roared. Charles was enjoying the moment anyway. He couldn't help but just laugh and make fun of the moment. “I can't, man. You have to accept my offer. You don't have a choice anyway,” he boasted. He was really full of himself at this moment. The shooter was about to take another shot at the girl. “Stop!” I yelled. “What…What do you want?” “It's simple…” The next thing that followed was a collision. The door blew up, and the room was filled with smoke. I took charge of the opportunity immediately, as I rushed to where Sarah was tied. I took off the restraints they had on her hands and feet as well. “Untie her,” she urged. There was no time for unnecessary questions, so I quickly took off her restraints as well. “Freeze!! FBI!!” Those were the words I hcard as armed men wal
