Bianca's POV

My hands were at akimbo as I stared at the smoothed out bed which after several minutes of struggle I had succeeded in laying flat.

I had just woken up from a restless sleep and a terrible dream. I didn't know if it was a warning sign or just an aftermath of my reeling mind which was still occupied with the events of a few days ago.

As I worked, my thoughts drifted back to my confrontation with Diego. I had been so caught off guard, and my emotions had gotten the better of me. I had said things I couldn't take back, and now I was left to wonder what would happen next.

“What if he goes through with his threat?”

I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even notice Raymond sneaking up behind me. It wasn't until he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close that I flinched, my heart racing with surprise.

"Hey, sorry about that my love,” Raymond said, his voice low and smooth. "I didn't mean to scare you."

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. "It

I paced back and forth in the small, drab room, my anger simmering just below the surface like a pot about to boil over. Almost an hour. That's how long I'd been waiting. No one had bothered to come and talk to me, no one had even offered me a glass of water. The fluorescent lights above flickered, casting eerie shadows on the walls."Tsk! What a day," I grumbled, my voice low and menacing. To think that a person like me, with so much respect from the position my family occupied in the city, a pillar of the community, would be treated like some kind of common criminal. Today had really come in all shades of red.As I boiled over with anger, the door creaked open, and I spun around, my eyes blazing with fury. "About time," I snapped, my voice rising like a thunderclap. "I've been kept waiting for almost an hour. What kind of incompetence is this?"The chief investigator, a tall, imposing man with a calm expression, walked into the room. He looked new, I hadn't seen him around before. H

Diego didn't mention anything about going for any business trip. “What was the trip for?” I inquired further, my lips almost touching his as I pinned Diego's assistant to the wall, out of human sight or office camera. “He… he… I don't know.” Diego's assistant stammered, not able to put himself together with all my curves almost on him. “See, you don't need to be scared, hun. Remember anything that happens here between us, stays with us.” I said seductively as I continued to caress his chest. “Uhmm…” he muttered, then adjusted his glasses. “C’mon you can talk, go on, maybe after telling me all I want to hear, you can finally have a taste of the cookie you have always wanted.” I voiced, a wide grin plastered on my face as I spoke. “He asked that I book a trip to Los Angeles, and…” “And, what?” I spat, almost running out of patience. “I think it's about a wedding invitation he received a few days ago. I shuddered at the thought, my heart racing with anxiety. And then, a different thought occurred to me, one that made my blood boil. What if he was with her? What if he was with Bianca?
