Chapter 5: Spring is here!

LUNA

The bus arrived at the destination and now we all stood in front of the start of the forest. Rick stopped the vehicle besides a board that marked the beginning of jungle.

'Its right ahead' Rick called out to others sitting at the back of the bus. 

Everyone was resting as they were tired from their little party, it was already eleven in the morning. Noah and jack were dozing off, Trisha was also taking a nap with her head on my shoulder according to her my small size and height give her a comfortable position to sleep. Great compliment right?

Rick's loud voice wake the people at the back and they all started stretching their limbs pumping energy back to their body to start their trip. I also stood up my legs were feeling numb sitting for hours.

Nina stood up opening the compartment at the head of the bus, taking out our bags. Trisha also picked up her bag. We all got off the bus after taking our bags. In few seconds the whole gang was outside in front of the board.

'Lets take out our stuff' Rick gave a call and with that everyone unpacked their bags bringing out maps, compass and everything useful they brought. 

Trisha and Nina smiled innocently looking at each other as they got nothing useful. They are here just for the trip or one can say I dragged them into this but nicely.l

The discussion to plan our way ahead began with everyone proposing their best ways. This scene reminded me of my childhood, recalling the time when my mother used to discuss plans with her crew in same way but at that time I couldn't understand a word and now I am the one planning. Times sure change and time always gives you chances to improve, just hop onto it.

Our trekk started in the forest with trees and grass surrounding everything. Canopy of the forest was quite thick not letting much of the sunlight pass through which was a blessing to all of us in such a sunny day. Due to lack of sunlight the environment around us was also cool. 

Rick hold the map dictating way to everyone with David holding the compass assisting him from behind. Everybody followed behind them chatting together it really seems like a picnic.

They all wandered around the trail for almost an hour in search of a village nearby the mountain foot.

Luna was walking with a bagpack on her shoulders while holding another small bag in her left hand. David turned to look at her and offered 'Should I take that bag for you?' pointing towards the bag in her hand.

My attention was completely focus on the  environment and his sudden words startled me. I looked at david with a confused expression. This kind of attention from a boy is something I haven't experience or desire.

'No it's okay' Its better to refuse as the bag is not that heavy and I am not that familiar with David. David nodded slightly and turned back to help Rick with the map.

'I had enough' Emily complained. She looked tired even though jack was holding her bag. I guess she is not used to walking much, well she is rich afterall. 

Why is she even here though? We all have one reason or another but I can't understand hers. One thing is for sure she is no nature lover nor a club member. 

I am here because that's obvious considering my love for nature and being a club member, I am obliged to come to this trip. Rick is the president and Noah is also a club member so it's given they are here and Jack is here because... Looking at jack and seeing his status now I know for whom he is here.

Luna took a glance at Emily and she noticed how her eyes were not on the road but focused on something else ahead on the way. She followed her line of sight to see what's catching this lady's attention and seeing the center of attraction her jaw dropped slightly.

'David??' she yelled in her mind but that word also left her mouth in a low murmur.

'What?' Nina questioned looking at her with surprise. Nina was sure she heard her say something. 

'Did you just say David?' Nina questioned raising her eyebrow slightly. Luna ignored her question and walked ahead. She didn't notice when Nina got this close to her, now she is going to get weird ideas. 

'Something... Something' Nina's funny voice came from behind Luna looked at her smirking face as Nina sprinted to stood beside her again. 

Nina still had that smirk and teasing look in her eyes. She was curious about this and wanted some gossip as she saw David saying something to Luna before.

'Nothing... Nothing' I replied smiling in the same funny tone as Nina just used. I don't want to talk about what I saw as I am not sure if Emily really like him and definitely don't want to spread rumours.

Just then I heard some low chipper from behind my back which made my head turn along with Nina's she must have heard too.

The scene behind us was shocking my eyes widened with surprise and I am sure Nina's too.

Tisha and Noah both were smiling and chatting ignoring everything around. They even failed to notice the constant stare of two ladies in front of them.

I couldn't hear  what they were talking about but both looked happy while chatting. It looked like they were surrounding by those animated movie's pink foggy clouds . Is this what love feels like?

'Spring is really here' Nina said in a soft time. Nina looked at my shocked face and Whispered 'Don't tell me you never saw it coming?’ she ask in a whisper

'No' I whispered back but my Voice couldn't hide my shock. When did this happen how come I never noticed. Well on a second thought I don't notice lot of things around me. I feel like one day I will die without even noticing what killed me.

I listened to her remark and looked at her then both of us smile at each other and Keep our trek going. 

'Lets be nice and not disturb them. We can always tease Trisha later' Nina suggested.

So as she said both of us decided not to disturb the possible budding blossom. 

'Love... Huh?' I never even experienced a crush before. I feel like I am missing out on a lot. This highschool is the time to explore all those feelings. After this we all will be in college with numerous responsibilities on our shoulders.

I need to hurry up!
