Never for once did Justin ever think that Ava would point a trigger at him let alone pull it. It all happened so fast but thankfully, the cops came in almost immediately but Justin passed out already.

Damian on the other hand could not contain his joy when Layla landed safely on the foam that was spread out for her.

“don’t worry love, you are safe now.” He whispered in her ears as he pulled her into his arms. Layla on the other hand was already exhausted from constant crying and torture and pleaded with Damian to help save Justin.

“I can't believe you’d plead on his behalf, after everything he put you through,” Damian said, slightly annoyed as they stood aside and watched the cops guide Paula into a black van from the car she was in earlier.

“Layla was too exhausted to speak but since she had jumped down before Ava shot him, she was still oblivious to the fact that he was shot. Here she was, pleading with Damian to spare Justin’s life again.

“He saved my life, Damian.” She muttered am
