Above the sofa was a large portrait hung on the wall;a beautiful mixture of blue and white painting he couldn't quite depict. There were two Grey arm chairs rooted opposite the sofa and a black glass centre table which carried a Grey coloured sculpture defined like a vase and a plate of sliced Pineapples Lizzy had earlier dropped before storming to the kitchen.

He still found it hard to comprehend. Perhaps due to his accustomed style of living in large mansion like houses made his taste waver for this fine building. While he rested on her comfy Grey coloured sofa with his eyes gradually sealing shut, thought

ZOEYOne could start with the silence, the tension slowly building in the filtered air,the maid rooted on a corner about the sofas, or the Manager seated, perhaps the Personal Assistant,or the pink sweatshirt with a hoodie Zoey wore on her black joggers which stood amidst the blackness and other secondary colours in the parlour. One could even start with the anxiety blooming in Zoey's eyes, the disappointment written all over Antonio's face, the look uncertainties plastered on Trisha's,the stern face of the maid. One could yet again start with the bombshell."I'll be blunt about this,Zoey..." Said Antonio in a hoarse voice."Your movie was a flop." Zoey's hands clutched to her sweatshirt. She tried to bottle the disappointment, the pain, frustration and sadness that ruled within her. She tried to feign ignorance,to adorn her face with a proud look. A face full of optimi

Well wishers and sympathizers had already dispersed after the burial but she chose to remain there. Alone, drenched under the heavy rain that poured over her umbrella that soon flew away from the raging wind. She didn't bother about the cold that stormed against her body or the wetness her black attire leaned against her skin. DANIEL Daniel jolted awake from his sleep with his eyes ranging about the room donned in dark green paint. He first reviewed the gray bed sheet he was currently sitting up on as if the colour and scent wasn't the same like he remembered. To his right was a large wooden wardrobe leaning against the wall. Meters away from the furniture was a wooden door locked;one he presumed was his bathroom. To the right was a medium sized window with the curtains parted to the clip by the wall revealing the beautiful ray of light that illuminated his room. Apart from his bedside stand, the medium size bed,the black ceiling fan that rolled at an overwhelming speed, the wardrobe, the black tiles, his room was scanty. Exactly how he remembered. His focus diverted to the conversation coming from the Parlour. He assumed quickly his Father was probably with a visitor. His mind wandered to his little sister Adejoke. Weeks had passed yet he hadn't remembered anything. His mother's cheeriness he once visualized were still weary since his injury and his playful uncle too was now a silent man. He felt like all these changes were his fault and he thought of several ways to bring this joy back. For things to revert back to normal."Very well." He answered touching his forehead briefly and grateful for the bandage that was removed yesterday by his Doctor. She smiled too except it only lasted for some seconds."I've been thinking lately..." He muttered, staring at his mother's brown eyes that lacked the brightness it usually carried."About what?." She asked in a whisper."I want to start afresh. Weeks have passed and nothing seems to be coming

Leaving her with Daniel who was still asleep in his room. Days had passed since she last visited nor even spoken to Daniel. She was only here due to his mother's request. The feeling of rejection was still there. Her love for him could be dated back to their secondary school days. When she had bumped into him from obliviousness at the library. Their array of books had clashed and crashed to the marble floor but he didn't take offence. Rather,he had expressed the most brightest and heartwarming smile she had ever seen. Scooping her book gently and arranging them in a straightened order. She had apologized countlessly for her actions but he maintained his countenance, apologizing instead.
