"Thaddeus... I still want you to be my mate. Please don't reject our mate bond..."

"Fret not, Kasumi. Even if our mate bond is gone, I will still help you to avenge your former pack. Rest assured that—"

"I still want you to be my mate!" My voice raised in frustration. "I want you! I really do!" I started to shed tears but tried my best not to. "You are also important to my life, Thaddeus... And so is Theodore. I will do anything to give equal attention to both of you."

"How about the man who claimed you as his mate? Are you going to let him into your life?"

Silence loomed over me. The great storm had come to succumb to me as I slowly dropped my hands. "I don't know..." I muttered as tears were already cascading down from my eyes. "I don't know..." I said one more time. "I really don't know..."

I stared at his back, looking at it in deep thought. The thought of having another man enter my life had been a thorn in my life, unable to give me a break from what was happening to me.
