Chapter 29: THEODORESAMANTHA'S POVI was deep in thought over my conversation with Leo the previous day, and I still don't get it straight why Camila and Theo would want my mate dead? I know I did want a payback but at least, she would have insisted that I should endure. Other times she does tell me to endure and tolerate it all since Leo and I were fated to be together, then all of a sudden she wants him dead.I won't blame her though, it's not her fault she changed so soon, I blame it all to Theo. Thank goodness I didn't succeed with the plan, I would have ended up crying my eyes out while she enjoys the rest of her life with her mate, ruling over a pack that doesn't belong to him.I'm still surprised at how Theo had brainwashed me to believe Leo was the bad guy while he was the good guy. I never knew he was after the throne and wealth, but now I do, I will never in my lifetime listen to whatever people say about Leo, whether it's the truth or not. I can't risk the chance of losing
LEONARD'S POVI was fond of drinking coffee every morning when I come to work. It was my every day routine since I found it satisfying. My secretary was always available to bring my office to my office even before I showed up, and it never got cold until I have it all gulped down.Today doesn't look so stressful to me, I was wondering if I could employ Sam to work as my new manager, but on the other hand, I declined the thought. She might say no, and I don't wanna make her feel like I don't care about her career or any thing. I wanted her to feel comfortable with her life, her choice and not more like I was only thinking about myself. In less than five minutes, my secretary was standing before my door. She offered a knock on the door, "Mr Darkwood, it's me, Rachel." She said and I permitted her in."Come in." She opened the door, walking in with my coffee."Here it is." She drops it on my desk, "Is there any thing else you want me to do, sir?""Well, for now, no." I said. "Well, thanks
WRITER'S POVThey had been together for hours and had decided on leaving to their rooms. Leonard left for his office to complete some stuff for the next morning.Sam went to the bathroom for a cold shower and for the wind to blow perfectly to her skin. She laid on her bed thinking about nothing but her moments with Leo, especially, the night she had her first kiss with him.She smiled at the thoughts before turning off the light then, shutting her eyes close. Not quite long and not fully given to sleep, she had a sound from the back. Her heart pounded in fear, her eyes racing in the dark as her hands stretched to reach for the light.Slowly, she made it without attempting to make a sound in the process, she turned the light on. Not wasting a second, she sat on the bed staring at the direction the sound was heard only to find Leonard standing and watching as she slept. She sighs in relief. " Leonard! You scared the heaven out of me. What are you doing here?""Thought I should say good
As she woke up the next morning, she tried stepping out of the bed but some thing prevented her.She looked down, Leonard's arm held her waist. She turned her head to look at his face, he was still fast asleep. Her mind flashed back to the previous night, recalling all that had happened right on her bed.She smiled. She wanted to pull his hand off and make it out successfully without waking him up but his voice stopped her."Are you scared?" He asked sleepily. She scoffed, "Why would I ever be scared?"He smirked dully, releasing his arm from her waist. She went in for a shower, spending thirty minutes of her time in the bathroom. The previous night's happenings never left her mind. For so many times in her life, she let a man touch her, and for so many times in her life she had intercourse with a man, this is not the first time, but every night sleeping on the same bed with Leonard felt new.And all this, instead of bothering her, made her more happy that she had all this done with t
Samantha was patiently awaiting for night to fall, she couldn't hold how anxious she was to know the truth behind Theo's plans. She didn't want to get Leo worried because of this, knowing the truth was much more important than sitting back.Leo wasn't back home yet, he had gone to work two hours ago and will be returning in the next one hour. When darkness had surfaced, Samantha wore her long coat, leaving the room not to let any one notice her leave. She successfully left the mansion, and with the aid of the map the sorceress had given to her, she was able to make my way to the witch's coven.Abigail came to serve her meal, then she realized the room was empty. She went to the bathroom to check on her, she is nowhere to be found. "Young Miss?" She called. "Young Miss?"Abigail barged out of the room in fright, "The Young Miss is missing! The young Miss is missing!" She cried. She went to meet Denver, to inform him about Samantha's sudden disappearance. "The young Miss is missing.""W
WRITER'S POVLeonard wasn't himself for the few hours Samantha was away from home. The level of his anger was that which can be able to break down a building. He has never been this angry before, not even for any one's sake."Calm down, Leo, she'll come back home." Denver tried to calm him down"Really?" He yanked. "Well, you should have thought about that when you let her walk out of the house.""Leo, you can't expect me to keep an eye on her every day. How do you think she'll feel when she finds out that I'm watching her? She'll think we're spying on her or some thing. Or maybe you don't trust her."Denver's words were able to calm him down, but not too calm to cool his spirit. "I just don't want any thing to hurt her. I won't forgive myself if it every happen.""Just who we're talking about." Denver said, uniformly their gazes moved to the door. "Mrs Darkwood."Sam looked frightened and terrified, like she had seen a ghost or some thing. "Sam. Sam." Leonard rushed to her, hugging h
Leonard woke Samantha as early as 6am to get ready as they were leaving to the Darkwood castle for the marking just as the sorceress had instructed. Samantha was scared to tell Leonard about her dream, she was scared he might start to suspect her or give her attitude. And as long as she believed in herself that she can't do such a thing, she had nothing to worry about. All she's got to do is to be strong and believe she would never give up on her love for Leonard or try otherwise against him. She dressed up faster than Leonard expected. "Was expecting you'd spend an hour on your makeup."Samantha laughed. "You just don't know how desperate I have been to come to your home.""I see. Shall we?" "Sure." She held his hand as they made their way to the car. "What about your company?""Nyk will handle it."Samantha was surprised as to how he got to know about Nyk. She didn't remember telling him that part of Sorceress Morgan El's words. "Tell me you've met these women before.""Morgan el h
He carried her up into his arms, dropping her gently on his bed while he sat on the couch, staring at her beautiful face, watching as she slept soundly. He blessed the day he met her, and fate for giving him such a great person into his heart. All those while back then at the city, those first moments with her, he didn't realize her. He never realized he was staring at his mate... His fate. Even when he knew, he found it hard to accept. And he wouldn't mind staying awake all night just to watch her sleep. Now that he has marked her, he has nothing to worry about. She's his and his alone. ****************The following day, at 8 O'clock dot, Samantha opened her eyes, staring around the room. She shifted the blanket high to see herself dressed ona blue nightwear. She smiled. Leonard must have worn her the cloth. She shifted the blanket aside, stepping out of the bed. She moaned at the pain on her shoulder, she can't believe she had forgotten about last night so soon. She packed h
