I took in a deep, nervous breath. If I agree to stay, our relationship will go on to the next level, and that feels so scary and exciting to me at the same time. Was I really ready for this? I really had strong feelings for Kalan, but was I ready to act on them so quickly?

I relied on my gut to take me through this and to make me decide what to do next. I looked back and saw Kalan looking all vulnerable and baring himself out to me.

It was then I realized that I don’t have to be scared anymore. I just have to acknowledge the feelings I had and act on them. I turned around, dropped the tray back onto the nightstand, and then went to sit beside Kalan.

He was trembling. I didn't know if it was from anticipation or fear, but it excited me all the more. His shaking hands caressed my face as he captured my lips in a very soft passionate kiss. It grew deeper gradually as he pinned me back down onto the bed, slowly grinding against me.
