98. The King of Kings

She touched the ruby and somehow it felt like deja vu. She watched as he caressed her hair and fixed it. He stared at her neck for long as he smiled. She looked up at him as he lowered his head. But he stopped himself.

Was he stopping himself because of her?

“Uhh,” She was puzzled. Were we about to kiss?”

“No.” He chuckled and flicked her forehead lightly. She frowned and reached her forehead.

“Why did you give me a ruby?”

“Because it looks good on you.” She glared at him. “Your wife will be pissed off you if you give another woman a necklace?”

He was silent as he scooped her face.

“Stop saying nonsense and let’s just go and have dinner.” He put his arms over her shoulders. “I have to discuss with you some other things.”

She groaned and shook her head, realizing that it was another lesson.

“You know what? I don’t want to hear it.”

“I’ll take you around the castle tomorrow and the land that your brother was ruling.”

They started walking back to the castle, escorting
