109. The Secret Guardian

Winter packed up her materials as she glanced at her husband who was dashing on his suit as always. He was leaning by the desk with crossed arms.

“Love,” Paxton called.

“Hmm?” Winter asked.

“Are you tired of talking? Speak to me, please.”

Winter giggled as she raised her hand out of habit.

“Well, I have nothing much to say.”

“I’ll pick you up at lunch.” He said.

“Sure. I have to go now and help.” She smiled at him, showing those perfect white pearls. He quickly took long strides toward her and kissed her lips, shoving his tongue inside as their tongues danced.

They stopped when something fell on the floor and shattered. They eyed the love figurine that Caroline gave to them. One fell and somehow it was a bad omen.

“I will have someone clean that up.” He said as a raven perched by the window.

“I have to go.” She reached his face and kissed his lips. “I’ll see you at lunch.”

“Uhuh.” He watched her leave as he approached the raven. It only meant that they were there
