Chapter 3 The MC

The Riders MC clubhouse was loud with music blaring, and people talking or laughing. Viper (Jack) was the Prez which means president. His Vice President or VP, was Steel (Frank). Mac (Dustin) was their IT tech guru and in house brains.

Diego (Eduardo) was their Road Captain. Cage (Taylor) and Joker (Ian) were the SAA's, Sargent At Arms. And their Treasurer was Sym (Michael). They had other brothers who were just officers for voting purposes.

Cage was sitting at the bar nursing a beer deep in thought. He was still thinking about the beautiful woman he'd been seeing for years. He remembered the first time he saw her on the beach. She was in a pretty one-piece bathing suit and was gorgeous.

He could tell right away she was innocent and a good girl. The kind that doesn’t mix with bikers. One who'd never make it in his world. Once like his own mother. That brought back painful memories.

His mother had been excited to be with a biker. Up until she got pregnant. She had given birth to him and then handed him over to his father to raise, as her parents had threatened to disown her and cut off her monthly income.

His dad had taken him in and raised him in the club. He never complained, or acted like he was a burden. What did hurt was seeing his mom from time to time in town and her acting like she didn't even know him.

But the real kicker to the story was when she married some rich dude and had two kids with him. A couple of years ago, her rich husband had an affair with a much younger woman and divorced his egg donor. Not being able to face the disgrace in town, his egg donor had moved away.

His father had been a great dad to him. He had no complaints. You can't miss what you never knew. Lately, a few of the brothers had taken an old lady and settled down. He felt something was missing from his life. The one-night stands didn't do it for him anymore.

He screwed up royally when he slept with one of the other brothers' sister. She had thought she had a claim on him. He had to set her straight really quick. And had been avoiding her ever since. Thankfully, he and her brother were still good.

After the brown-haired beauty returned from college, she was a total knockout. She was still shy and a good girl. It did seem like lately she'd been living a little. But still a far cry from being able to fit into his world.

A hand rubbed his upper arm. He closed his eyes, hoping it wasn't her. The leech as he liked to think of her. It almost made him laugh. He turned his head and looked at the hand, then the face that went with it. Yep, it was the leech.

"Carly, you've been warned about touching a brother without his permission," Cage warned.

"But Cage we were so good together." She purred.

"No, we weren't. I've had better. And there will never be a repeat. Now remove your damn hand and get lost." Cage demanded.

"If you change your mind, you know how to find me." She teased.

He rolled his eyes. Then he shoved away from the bar and went to his room. He made sure to lock it. Otherwise, no telling who'd end up in his bed. That was one lesson he only had to learn once.

He continued to think about the brunette. Something about her seemed familiar, but he couldn't figure it out. Maybe it was just because he'd watched her all these years. Lately she had been the star of his dreams. Some very naughty ones.

The next Friday, the brothers went to the bar. They were all talking about some stupid bets they had done over the years. Cage was half listening as he was busy watching the brunette but trying to appear not to be.

"I've got the perfect bet!" Joker laughed.

"Well, Brother, let’s hear it!" Diego demanded.

"It's been a while since we made a conquest bet. I have the perfect woman and the perfect brother. A really good one to make it one hell of a challenge!" Joker replied.

"Well spit it out Joker!" Sym ordered.

"I bet Cage can't get a woman of my choosing in bed with him the first night, or first week. I bet it takes him the better part of a month!" Joker explained.

"Oh, come on, women fall at his feet. That's no bet!" Diego scoffed.

"The woman I have picked out will be quite the opposite. I am sure of it." Joker replied.

"Why is she a lesbian?" Sym asked.

"No. She's just, how do I say this nicely? A good girl." Joker laughed.

That caught Cage's attention. There's no way Joker meant his beautiful good girl, right? Now he was paying attention to what Joker was saying. Joker explained the rules. Brothers could bet one night, one week, or one month.

"What's your bet, Joker?" Diego asked.

"My bet is never. It won't happen." Joker replied.

All the brothers put in their bets after that remark. Cage had mixed emotions. On one hand, it was the perfect excuse to get to know her. On the other hand, it could be a huge disaster. Which way it would go he had no idea.

Cage got up and walked across the room. He kept his eyes on her, and saw mixed emotions cross her face. When he got to her table, he leaned close to her for her to hear him over the loud music.

"Want to dance?" He asked.

She just stared at him. Finally, one of her friends she was with pushed her out of her seat towards him. Had he not caught her she probably would have fallen on the floor.

"Ah sure." She finally replied.

He led her to the dance floor. He had waited for a slow song to come on before he made his move. The perfect opportunity to hold her close in his arms. He, however, was not ready for the instant chemistry that hit him when he did.

Her eyes widened at their contact. He knew she must have felt it too. One thing was for sure. He was totally screwed where she was concerned. He now knew, this was a bad idea.
