Chapter 8 - It's All a Deal.

Her heart had skipped.

Definitely she was sure it did. Aliyah could swear that her heart skipped few minutes ago.

Not once, not twice, her fucking heart skipped multiple times…

First when his radiant brown eyes bored into hers..

Then when he had pulled her against himself and hugged her..

And when his lips had pressed softly on her forehead..

And then her mind wondered how his lips would taste again…

‘Damn! Aliyah control yourself’ She mentally scolded, her eyes rested on the shirt she had on and then to the shiny object on her finger.

How was it possible that she was putting on billions and billions of dollars on her tiny ring finger? She never once dreamt of that. Never.

Ever since her father died, she had always wore Valerie's used clothes or cheap clothes bought for her by her step mother who constantly reminded her of her illegitimacy.

“Are you uncomfortable?” Romero asked breaking her line of thoughts as he glanced at her.

“Huh?” She answered, confusion skating her eyes as she stared at him.

“Do you want Juliet here?” He asked again meeting her gaze briefly before focusing them back on the road “You've been awfully quiet.”

Though this might have been their first time alone but he doesn't like the fact that she was awfully quiet, it bothers him a lot. He wanted to hear her voice, that sweet voice that produced such sexy moans that night.

‘Damn! Focus!’ He scolded himself as he shifted on his seat feeling himself bulging against his pants, he clears his throat distracting himself.

“If you feel uncomfortable, I would stop the car and let her ride with us but,” He paused as he stared again at her, this time their gazes met “I love being alone with you.” He slightly bit his lower lip, his words and action screamed sensual at Aliyah who swallowed and averted her gaze.

Romero smirked. Her shyness and the innocence he saw in her eyes stirred him, damn! They make him excited.

“I'm good, I feel comfortable.” She answered, her head on the glass, Romero nodded.

“Hmm.” Aliyah started as she stared at the ring “This ring,” she paused and bit her lower lip not knowing if what she was about to say would get her in trouble.

“Yes, dear, go on.” He said as if sensing her hesitation.

With a deep breath she let out “It's way too expensive, I feel I don't deserve to wear-”

“Excuse me.” Romero deadpan cutting her off, a deep frown rested on his face. He didn't like the sound of that.

Seeing his frown “No, no.” She says quickly waving her hands “I just found out today that it's from Finesse and it's worth billions and billions of dollar, I, uhmmm, you could use it for something better, business maybe, I .. yes..”

“Sorry, I'm rambling.” She sighed.

Silence descended.

Aliyah felt his larger hand on hers, she felt it's warmth as they slightly squeezed hers making her relaxed.

“You are not rambling.” He said calmly “Ocean, you're worth billions and billions of dollars, you’re worth more than money.” The sincerity in his voice further calms her, making her feel important and that pulled a smile on her face.

Seeing her smile the billionaire felt satisfied, his eyes examined her beautiful side profile…

His eyes moved from the way she batted her short thick eyes lashes, her small nose which fitted her beautiful face, her small pink lips which he could still remember how soft they felt when he kissed them that night. He wishes those lips were on his -

Fuck! He gripped the wheel as below his loins grew excited again… He was losing control… this younger beauty was making him lose control terribly.

“Are we going somewhere, Sir?” Aliyah asked pulling Romero out of his thoughts which he was thankful for, staring at the road, she realizes it was unfamiliar.

Romero chuckled “Sir?” He smirked “Coming from someone that once told me I was delicious.”

Immediately her eyes widened, she shyly turned her head away remembering their intimacy, Romero gave a throatily laughter and boy! It sounded heavenly, she wanted him to laugh more.. His laughter was heavenly.

She turned her gaze to him, her eyes wandered down to his shirt which had several buttons undone putting his inked chest on display.

No matter how many times she saw the tattoos it always pulls her in, leaving her with the sweet want of having her fingers trace them while also feeling his ripped biceps.

She unconsciously clicked her lips and shifted forward so she could see more.

‘Fuck!’ Romero exclaimed inwardly seeing her reaction to his inked chest, at that moment all he wanted was to stop the car and instead of her clicking her lips, he wanted to do it instead.

“Should I undo more buttons?” Came his voice, deeper than usual which sent Aliyah's heart fluttering.

Tints rose up in her cheeks seeing that she has been caught shamelessly checking him out.

“No!” She half yelled seeing that he was really about to start undoing more buttons.

“I can even pull the whole thing,” Indicating his shirt “...off, just for you, Ocean.”

Ocean. The way he calls the nickname he had given her makes her feel wanted.. just like that very first night together.

“Should I?”

“No.” She answered shaking her head vigorously making the older man erupt in laughter.

Aliyah smiled bashfully, she looked at the way his handsome face shapes out wherever he laughs and the dimples holed in his cheeks makes him more sexy.

The car halted making Aliyah pull her gaze from him to see where they were, looking at the building before them, she gasped because before them stood the famous restaurant ever, a six star restaurant.

“Are you okay with having the wedding in two weeks time?” He asked pulling her attention away from the restaurant before them.

“It depends on you. Anything you say.” Aliyah answered with a smile.

Romero shook his head as he took both her hands and stared at her tenderly, his stares rose heat up her face, she lowered her gaze to their connected hands preventing him from seeing her blush “It also depends on you too dear, you are also a part, Okay?”

Aliyah nodded slowly.

“I will have Wilson communication the fixed date to you, give him your feedback and the date you did prefer.”

She nodded again, again he made her feel important a feeling she had long forgotten.

He patted her hands and got down from the car, before Aliyah could follow suit he had opened her door making the butterflies in her stomach celebrate, she blushed.

Stretching out his hand, she took it with a shy smile and he guided her out gently, she stood beside him and his hand fell to her lower back.

As Aliyah was about to take a step, Romero held her waist “There would be media, paparazzis. Wilson said it is needed before the wedding.”

“Oh” She says simply.

And almost immediately different cameras began flashing and clicking.

Aliyah recoiled. Sad realization washed over her making her remember that it was all a deal. Fake.

‘Don’t be carried away. It's all fake.’ Her brain reminded her as they both walked into the restaurant.
