Chapter 35

Camilla's POV

I lay on the bed in the spare guest room that Tracey had so nicely given me. I tossed on the bed, finding it hard to go to sleep. With a deep sigh, I rolled off the bed, left the room, and found my way downstairs to the kitchen.

I took a glass and poured myself some milk, but as I brought it to my lips, I heard a voice say, "What are you doing here?"

I turned around, the rim of the glass still resting on my lips, and saw Tracey standing behind me with her hands crossed.

I raised the glass of milk. "I was thirsty," I said.

Tracey shook her head and pulled her dark braids over her shoulder while taking a step forward. "You know what I'm talking about. What are you doing in my home?"

I frowned at her words. "Because Seth wants me here," I said, already feeling my anger rising.

Tracey chuckled at my words, stepped even closer to me, and took the glass from my hand, placing it on the island. "No one wants you here. Not me, not my son, and soon Seth will realize it too."
