CHAPTER FIFTY-SIX

Evvie’s POV:

The whole drive, my brother gave me the silent treatment. And I was glad. I don’t want to hear anything related to me needing to stay, because I don’t.

I have one job. Grab evidence my brother is innocent, and poof. I’ll be out of here in a jiffy.

Alpha Logan stood tall and firm before a sum of forty wolves who bowed their heads to him in submission.

His eyes fell on mine just as soon as we stepped into the training ground. My heart skipping a beat with the way his watching eyes, dark as pure charcoal, strayed to my neck. And the spot where his mark should be, throbbed painfully. Alongside the distressing sensation pooling between my legs.

Clenching my walls, I averted my gaze, trying to focus on the event going on before me instead.

A sense of relief and nostalgia draped over me as my surroundings finally showcased its appeal. For a moment, my mind was taken off of the nonstop pulsing of my core and mark spot. Giving me something else to think about.
