CHAPTER 27 - REJECTED AGAIN

Avery’s POV

“Baby?” He asked again, looking at me like I was crazy.

“Yes, baby,” I said looking confused, was I saying anything wrong?

“But how?” He asked, standing up and pacing about.

“What do you mean by how? This is not the first time we are mating, is it?” I asked, trying to remind him of our first time in case he forgot.

“I know it's not but…” I cut him off mid-sentence not believing what I was hearing.

“But what?” I asked starting to get annoyed.

“It is just too sudden, I am not sure I am ready to be a father,” he said, still pacing about.

“But you already have two children, are you not a father to them?” I asked confused at his logic.

“I know but mating is one thing, starting a family is another,” he said looking out the window.

I was silent, I didn't know what to say or what he meant either.

“I haven't even told Avery and Quinn about you, I am not even sure how they will react,” he said sounding distant and lost in thought.

“How dare you?” I suddenly screamed, the realization
