The more I was with her, the more I wanted to show her things I dared not show anyone, I was becoming vulnerable.

I stared long into the sky, thinking that that wishing star I wished upon many years ago forgot my prayers.

“So what did you wish for?” She asked.

“I asked the wishing star for peace!” I replied, she looked at me like I had grown two heads.

My definition of peace was just way different from my mom's, she had a total representation of peace that was not in any way close to mine.

Seeing wishing start was a thing of joy for me when I was a kid, I mean Beautiful things from space coming to give the earth temporary light that burns out in seconds.

“Mom, what burns bright but temporarily like the meteorites that hit earth?”... My teenage self asked my mom.

That question till date I didn't know where it came from it just came to mind and I knew I had to ask it.

She sat me down while she handed me a painting brush.

“Love that isn't love!” She replied.
