My phone was buzzing again. Messages from different people came in from different social platforms, some congratulatory and others shrouded in envy over the fact that I had snagged a rich and dashingly handsome man.

All this was overwhelming because before a few days ago I did not know this man existed and now that I had gotten engaged to him, I realized he was well known but for what exactly? I still had not googled him to find out about it. It always skipped my mind.

I scrolled through the blogs and found some hateful comments, I shut my eyes and grimaced after reading through a few of them.

My phone was taken out of my hand the next minute. I stared at him weakly, I had no energy to argue with him, it was just too exhausting.

"I'll advise that you do not read through comments on anything out there. It's not good for you." He said gently but I was already so frustrated that his gentleness irked me. It ca

My phone rang late into the night, while I was fast asleep. I moaned and groaned before stretching my hand to pick it up from my night stand. It was about 10pm and I just slept about two hours before. The day had me stressed out, so sleeping early was my only option to forget everything. "Hello?" I mumbled sleepily into the phone. "Oh honey, did I wake you up?" A sweet voice said that sounded really familiar said into my ear. I furrowed my eyebrows and squinted at the brightness of the phone while I checked the caller ID. "Oh hi, Mrs Kingston." I said. "How are you dear?" "I'm well, thank you. How are you?" I yawned in between my statements. "Oh sweetie, I forgot about the time difference,I didn't mean to disturb your sleep. I'm so sorry." She apologized. "Oh no, it's fine. I'm sure you called for something important." I lowkey wanted to hear what she had to say so I would know if I had to travel soon. "Well dear, Damien came home without you and when I asked when you'd

"Ariana?" I heard my name called out faintly, like it was from a distance. My eyes blurred due to the excess light that came through so suddenly. I slowly opened them and was met with Stella's pretty face. "Seems like I'm always waking you up." She said with a tinge of embarrassment on her face. Is it okay to call my future mother in law cute? Cause she's absolutely adorable. I sheepishly smiled at the thought. "Hi," I said groggily just as my hair fell over my face when I sat up. She pushed it out of my way and sat next to me. "How are you sweetie?" "I'm well, how are you?" I answered. "I'm alright." "Your flight?" I asked. "It was just okay." I gave a small shrug. "I heard you came, so I came to check on you." She informed and I grinned. "Awww, that's sweet." She smiled. "Since we have so little time, I have to inform you that we'll be going shopping tomorrow." "Oh." I mouthed. "Where's Damien?" She asked, looking around like she expected him to be around here somewh

This was day two of wedding planning. We had cake tasting to do and as usual we left early.Marissa came to get me from the penthouse because Stella had somewhere else to be. She was parked in front of the hotel."Hi Marissa" I bade."Hey bride to be, hop in." She beckoned with a slight grin."You look good." She complimented, eyeing my new beige mono strap body con dress."Thank you." I blushed."You're not looking bad yourself." I said trying to keep cool. My words did no justice, her outfit was just too classy."I try." She said playfully. I chuckled. She drove for a while before she noticed the black Mercedes Maybach behind us."Why do I feel like we are being followed?" She asked with a bit of panic in her tone."Relax. Those are Damien's men." I pacified her, though I was still somewhat irritated by the whole guard thing.

Ariana's POV; "And this is the last spot, what do you think?" That was Marissa. I had spent about a week in Los Angeles at the time and I still had not seen Damien. We had been out all day searching for a suitable reception venue. One that would be somewhat close to the church where we would exchange vows. We had a church in mind but Damien and I had to meet the Reverend first. I stood in the middle of the grand ballroom. "I'm not feeling it." I said after a while. I truly wasn't. The hall could take up a large number of guests, it had bright chandeliers, it was everything any bride would wish for but I still was not feeling it. "What's wrong Ariana? Are you getting cold feet?" She asked concernedly, placing her palm on my shoulder comfortingly. I exhaled. How was I supposed to say that I did not want this marriage but I didn't have a choice in it? There was nothing I could say to her. I shook my head at her, swallowing the lump that had formed in my throat, I asked; "

I munched on popcorn as I watched the TV that night. There was nothing else to do. I tried sleeping but I couldn't, which was unusual. I scrolled through my phone aimlessly. 'Paparazzi spots Los Angeles' famous business tycoon during pre wedding photoshoot.' I looked up as soon as I heard the headline on entertainment news. I saw unedited photos of Damien and I displayed on the screen but they were not well defined. They looked rushed. "American Business Mogul, Damien Kingston, was spotted earlier today by the paparazzi during what we assume was a photoshoot with his wife to be. The popular thirty year old playboy was deemed to be an unrepentant one and the internet went wild with shock, when he got down on one knee and proposed to an unknown lady whose first name we just found out is Ariana Delaney, of Spanish descent." The OAP said and turned to an her co host. "Indeed Amy, we all thought it was a publicity stunt when he said the wedding would be in a month, until this photoshoot

We got the shoes and jewelry picked out without too much deliberation, it only took about an hour to decide. An hour is actually a very small time to decide on these things and we pulled it off with ease. That, my friend, was a proud moment.I tried on the first dress. A beaded ball gown with a high waistline and plunging neckline. It showed too much cleavage and was just too heavy for me to walk in.I came out of the fancy dressing room and Stella gasped as soon as she laid her eyes on me. She got up and walked aound me."You look..." She was short of words. She stared up at me and surely saw the uncertainty in my eyes because she regained her composure immediately."I'm not feeling this one." I said hesitantly."I understand." She nodded. Tracy just stared without saying anything at all. What was the point of having her around if she would not even contribute anything. I missed Fiona's presence e

Damien's POV;I watched through the floor to ceiling window in my office, the busy streets. The loud honks of vehicles from a distance along with the usual hustle and bustle that came with a normal Los Angeles day. This was one of those times when I would just sit and reflect on a lot of things. I had construction projects my workers were yet to complete and with deadlines to meet, I was really stressed out but no one noticed, no one actually cared. I grimaced at the thought.I was taking a break from work but I knew I had to go back in soon enough. Just then I thought to the matter that had been on everyone's lips; my wedding ceremony. It was about a week to the wedding, my team was going to release our pre wedding photos soon. I had spent roughly eight million dollars. It's a small amount compared to the billions I'm worth but some people saw it as an outrageous amount of money to spend on a one day event.I had to give th

The next few days went by in a blur. I spent quality time with my dad but more with Nolan. I had so much fun and was genuinely happy to have them around. Our pre wedding photos were released two days to the wedding. As usual the internet went into a frenzy, I legit had to put off my phone for a while. The photos came out beautiful, I expected nothing less though. We looked so perfect together, one would wish for what we had but there was nothing to it. It was all an illusion. I had a small bridal shower with the girls, Stella as well as Tracy joined in the small party and we all binged on movies in matching pajamas with lots of snacks and drinks. Mine was pink while everyone else had grey pajamas on. Stella went all out on this one. The pictures and videos we took must have filled Fiona's phone. They all fell asleep late into the night while I stayed awake for obvious reasons. My wedding was the next day, I was developing cold feet, anyone in my shoes would. I had always dreamed

Third Person's POV; Three years later... "Are you kidding?" Damien asked, putting down Damon who had jumped on him the moment he stepped into the house and refused to be set down until they had arrived to meet his mother in the master bedroom. "Carried you for nine months only for you to not just look exactly like your father but also be so attached to him." Ariana had muttered sourly when Damon wouldn't come to her nor Darian who was the more reserved kid. The twins turned out to have more of their father's genes than hers, from the eyes to hair color, down to the nose and almost everything they did was like Damien. She found it more unfair cause they were identical. Now this was what led to the matter at hand. "Irma..." He dragged out, tugging off his jacket before unbuttoning his shirt. "I'm not kidding. I found out today." She said, getting up from the bed as she flipped her hair to the back. "How come?" He was in a maze of shock. "How else do people get pregnant?" She sarc

Final chapter Damien's POV; It had been way over an hour. She squeezed my palm so tightly as she pushed, screaming her lungs out while at it. I just wanted to cry but I had to be strong for her. "I'm tired, I'm so tired." She sobbed, her voice had gone hoarse from all that screaming. She had hair glued to her forehead due to sweat. It broke my heart to see her like this but she still looked so effortlessly beautiful. "Come on babe, we can do this." I encouraged her. She was panting heavily. "You're crowning, you're almost there!" The nurse yelled. She pushed again with all her might, grunting deeply until we heard the first cry of a baby. I wanted to jump and pump my fist in the air until I remembered we still had another baby to think about. She laid down breathing heavily for a minute or so before she pushed hard again at the nurse's instruction and once again, we heard the cry of our second child. Our twins were finally here! Ariana's POV; "Twins?!" Damien looked like he was about to faint. He accompanied me for my doctor's appointment as usual and we just found out that we're expecting twins. I swallowed and blinked rapidly, trying to fight the overjoyed smile that was clawing on to my face. Someone wanted just one but his sperm had other plans. "Ariana, I only agreed to having one baby and now we're going to have two of them?! How?" He loosened a few buttons on his shirt. "I don't have twins in my family so this is definitely your fault." I shrugged, smiling at the doctor as he congratulated us. "Oh well, at least you wouldn't have to bother me for another baby in future." He shrugged. Well that's what he thought but time would tell if I was going to have more kids or not. Damien had been the sweetest though. He carried me like an egg just like everyone else back at the house. Gosh! They wouldn't let me lift a finger after we announced that we were expecting during one of our usual Sunday brunch

Weeks later... I stared down at the beautiful bare bodied woman laying under me that morning. There was something different about her. "Your body's changing." I said plainly, pulling out after I cummed inside her. "What are you talking about?" She asked with a frown. I shook my head. "Nothing at all, just go clean up." I got off her and dragged my pants so I could put them on. I picked up my phone and to do my little research on what I knew about women. She went into the bathroom and came out of the closet in one of my shirts that looked like a dress on her. I watched as she picked up her comb from the vanity and began styling her disheveled hair. "Ariana?" I called out to her. "Yeah babe?" She answered, turning to glance at me before staring back at herself in the mirror. "Are you pregnant?" The comb reflexively dropped from her hand, while she stayed stiff in front of the mirror. "What?" She asked trying to regain her composure. A bit too late, if you ask me. "I asked you

My head pounded as I strained my eyes open."Where am I?" I groaned out, staring at the unfamiliar room."Hello Mrs Kingston."My eyes bulged at the sight of the nurse."Hello." I managed to respond."The doctor's already on his way." She smiled a little too widely for my comfort so I just stared back at her for a few seconds before nodding slightly. The door soon came open. "Hello madam. How are you feeling?""I have a headache and I still feel a bit drowsy." I said. "You'll be fine in not time it's just one of the symptoms.""What symptoms?""Well I have news for you." He said, opening up and envelope containing a sheet of paper. "Congratulations, you're four weeks pregnant."I sat up abruptly. "What?!" I exclaimed, with my eyes almost popping out of their sockets as I grabbed the test result from him. I saw it for myself, it wasn't a prank.Oh shit! "Wow uhm, this is great news." "Why's Zara so shy?" I asked while Kumar took pictures of me in front of the Royal Palace of Madrid. Damien and I were up early and out of the house to go get Kumar who was going to take us round the city. Our first stop was of course having breakfast at a nice spot before finding our way down to the Palace. "Well uh, she's been through a lot." He said, coming over to show me the photos. "Like what?" I asked, absentmindedly swiping the pictures."I'm not sure it's in my place to tell but Zara was born with a hole in her heart." He sighed, taking the phone from my hand.My hands flew to my mouth as a gasp eluded me."She's always so weak and she believes she's going to die soon so she just keeps to herself all the time. She doesn't even have friends." He said.It felt so bad for her."But the hole can be fixed via surgical procedures right?" "Yeah," he nodded before his eyes drooped. Why hasn't it been done? I don't know how but my feet put me in front of her with my knees on the ground and I was soon locked in a warm embrace. "Ay tía!" I sobbed. (Oh auntie!) "Te amo. Siempre tengo." She said, rubbing on my hair. (I love you. I always have) "I'm sorry about the death of your father." I sobbed just a little more at the reminder. "Raj came into my life just before I lost your mother and he's been the best thing that ever happened to me." She stared at him lovingly. "You knew my mother?" I asked him, wiping her eyes. "Yes, though briefly, I know first-hand that she was a beautiful person, inside and out." He said. I smiled and turned back to Karla. "Do you have a picture of her?" I asked. "It's back at our house." She said. "When can I come visit?" I eagerly asked. "Anytime you want." "Babe?" I snapped my head towards Damien. "We'll join you for dinner tomorrow ev

Ariana's POV; "Oh no!" I palmed my forehead whilst shutting my eyes tightly. "Still can't find it?" He worriedly questioned.I shook my head in the negative. "I can't believe I forgot to pack it." I said more to myself than him."Shit babe! Why would you forget something so important?" He actually looked like he had seen a ghost. Was he that scared of us having babies? "I'm sorry, it's just, I-" I didn't know what else to say. "Tell me, you're safe please." He clasped his palms together in plea. I swallowed. I wasn't sure cause the contraceptives had been messing with my cycle ever since I started using them so I really hadn't been keeping track of it. But I couldn't tell him that, it would ruin our entire trip. So, I lied. "I'm safe, I promise." "You're sure?" He probed further and the guilty pang in my heart increased."Uh huh." I nodded.
