This was day two of wedding planning. We had cake tasting to do and as usual we left early.Marissa came to get me from the penthouse because Stella had somewhere else to be. She was parked in front of the hotel."Hi Marissa" I bade."Hey bride to be, hop in." She beckoned with a slight grin."You look good." She complimented, eyeing my new beige mono strap body con dress."Thank you." I blushed."You're not looking bad yourself." I said trying to keep cool. My words did no justice, her outfit was just too classy."I try." She said playfully. I chuckled. She drove for a while before she noticed the black Mercedes Maybach behind us."Why do I feel like we are being followed?" She asked with a bit of panic in her tone."Relax. Those are Damien's men." I pacified her, though I was still somewhat irritated by the whole guard thing.
Ariana's POV; "And this is the last spot, what do you think?" That was Marissa. I had spent about a week in Los Angeles at the time and I still had not seen Damien. We had been out all day searching for a suitable reception venue. One that would be somewhat close to the church where we would exchange vows. We had a church in mind but Damien and I had to meet the Reverend first. I stood in the middle of the grand ballroom. "I'm not feeling it." I said after a while. I truly wasn't. The hall could take up a large number of guests, it had bright chandeliers, it was everything any bride would wish for but I still was not feeling it. "What's wrong Ariana? Are you getting cold feet?" She asked concernedly, placing her palm on my shoulder comfortingly. I exhaled. How was I supposed to say that I did not want this marriage but I didn't have a choice in it? There was nothing I could say to her. I shook my head at her, swallowing the lump that had formed in my throat, I asked; "
I munched on popcorn as I watched the TV that night. There was nothing else to do. I tried sleeping but I couldn't, which was unusual. I scrolled through my phone aimlessly. 'Paparazzi spots Los Angeles' famous business tycoon during pre wedding photoshoot.' I looked up as soon as I heard the headline on entertainment news. I saw unedited photos of Damien and I displayed on the screen but they were not well defined. They looked rushed. "American Business Mogul, Damien Kingston, was spotted earlier today by the paparazzi during what we assume was a photoshoot with his wife to be. The popular thirty year old playboy was deemed to be an unrepentant one and the internet went wild with shock, when he got down on one knee and proposed to an unknown lady whose first name we just found out is Ariana Delaney, of Spanish descent." The OAP said and turned to an her co host. "Indeed Amy, we all thought it was a publicity stunt when he said the wedding would be in a month, until this photoshoot
We got the shoes and jewelry picked out without too much deliberation, it only took about an hour to decide. An hour is actually a very small time to decide on these things and we pulled it off with ease. That, my friend, was a proud moment.I tried on the first dress. A beaded ball gown with a high waistline and plunging neckline. It showed too much cleavage and was just too heavy for me to walk in.I came out of the fancy dressing room and Stella gasped as soon as she laid her eyes on me. She got up and walked aound me."You look..." She was short of words. She stared up at me and surely saw the uncertainty in my eyes because she regained her composure immediately."I'm not feeling this one." I said hesitantly."I understand." She nodded. Tracy just stared without saying anything at all. What was the point of having her around if she would not even contribute anything. I missed Fiona's presence e
Damien's POV;I watched through the floor to ceiling window in my office, the busy streets. The loud honks of vehicles from a distance along with the usual hustle and bustle that came with a normal Los Angeles day. This was one of those times when I would just sit and reflect on a lot of things. I had construction projects my workers were yet to complete and with deadlines to meet, I was really stressed out but no one noticed, no one actually cared. I grimaced at the thought.I was taking a break from work but I knew I had to go back in soon enough. Just then I thought to the matter that had been on everyone's lips; my wedding ceremony. It was about a week to the wedding, my team was going to release our pre wedding photos soon. I had spent roughly eight million dollars. It's a small amount compared to the billions I'm worth but some people saw it as an outrageous amount of money to spend on a one day event.I had to give th
The next few days went by in a blur. I spent quality time with my dad but more with Nolan. I had so much fun and was genuinely happy to have them around. Our pre wedding photos were released two days to the wedding. As usual the internet went into a frenzy, I legit had to put off my phone for a while. The photos came out beautiful, I expected nothing less though. We looked so perfect together, one would wish for what we had but there was nothing to it. It was all an illusion. I had a small bridal shower with the girls, Stella as well as Tracy joined in the small party and we all binged on movies in matching pajamas with lots of snacks and drinks. Mine was pink while everyone else had grey pajamas on. Stella went all out on this one. The pictures and videos we took must have filled Fiona's phone. They all fell asleep late into the night while I stayed awake for obvious reasons. My wedding was the next day, I was developing cold feet, anyone in my shoes would. I had always dreamed
Ariana's POV; I was up early the next morning. I had barely four hours of sleep throughout the night and I wanted nothing more than to stay in bed. I stretched out and yawned, I picked up my phone and checked the time. It was then it hit me. It was thirtieth of August, I saw it on the calendar, it was my wedding day! I sat up quickly as the bedroom door burst open. Stella came in with a huge grin, she reached out and hugged me, placing a kiss on my forehead too. "It's the big day." She said with her chin placed on my forehead head. "It is." I sighed. She ushered me into the bathroom, urging me to take a bath quickly because the beauticians were already on their way. I had my bath in a few minutes, applied lotion and put on my underwear. I picked up a robe and wrapped myself in it before stepping out. "Hold it right there!" I froze and smiled at Fiona's voice. "Yes, yes I know, it's the big day, yay!" I said, in sarcasm, rolling my eyes in the process. "Don't be such a
I was having my make up touched up to suit the glittery gold dress I was going to wear for the reception when Nolan came into the suite. I looked him up from head to toe, he looked suave in his suit but his eyes were telling a different story. They looked lost."Hey Nolan." I said just as the makeup artist informed me that she was done.My up do hairstyle had been let down and my hair fell back in stylish, seemingly cascading waves. A few braids held the top though, giving it a stylish bridal look. My shimmery gold dress was pretty revealing, it had a thigh high slit and was basically armless but for the beaded straps that fell below my shoulder, it showed a little cleavage but not so much.I stared at myself one more time before turning to Nolan. I signalled for everyone else to excuse us."What's up?" I asked after they had left.He cleared his throat awkwardly and rubbed his hand on the back of his nec
