Chapter 46 Sealed Memory

Anya’s POV:

I coughed violently and was completely drained. After being in the ocean for so long, I had also choked up on quite a lot of seawater.

Even though I could float well, I certainly felt quite helpless as I had to drag such a well-built man with me.

The two of us were wobbling in the water, only about ten meters away from the shore.

If I were to swim back to the shore alone, I would probably do it in less than a minute.

However, since I was dragging Evan with me, I struggled in the water for over ten minutes before finally reaching the shore.

I continued to cough as I staggered up the steps on the shore and felt so exhausted that I was on the brink of collapse.

I could not move Evan at all, much less bring him to the shore.

In the end, I only dragged him a little so that the upper half of his body was lying on the steps, making sure that he wouldn’t drown or suffocate.

“Evan woke up….” I called out while still coughing.

Evan was half-conscious, but he didn’t seem able to open
