Evan’s POV:

After Tina arrived at the Carter Mansion, Josh led her into the house. “Mr. Carter, Miss Walter has arrived.”

“Okay!” I repaired it coldly.

Looking at me uneasily she asked, “Evan, here is your car key.”

I took it and said, “Grandma wants to see you.”

“Oh, okay! How is your grandma? Is she feeling better?” she asked.

I didn’t say anything and just strode forward to lead the way.

Soon, I brought her into Grandma’s room.

With the help of the nurses and doctor, Grandma moved from the bed to a wheelchair.

“Grandma, Tina is here to visit you,” I said. Saying that I put my arms around Tina’s shoulder, trying to be like we are close.

‘Grandma is seriously sick now. All I want to make her happy.’ I thought.

Tina bent down and asked gently, “Grandma, are you feeling better?”

“Yes, I am much better now.” Grandma looked at Tina and said in a hoarse voice.

Then, she looked at me and said, “Evan, go get my jade jewelry.”

“Which set of jewelry?” I asked.

“The emerald ones.”
