"Ah, nope." She furrowed.
Before he could even take a step away, the so-called silver-haired male elfin pulled the hem of his tattered yet not dirty cotton clothing. Her retorting feat was so fast that the 'pup's' lips departed, leaving a quick squeak from her sudden pull.
"Not a chance."
Yuna instantly cupped his clothes in search of the pocket until she pulled out an ice-blue bracelet.
"You suck at this but nice try." She stood up as she let him take one last glimpse of the bracelet before she scuffled in back to her wrist. She pushed the kid away and started strolling to continue her observation.
Stealing was something she did not expect to happen that, but it was not a big deal either. The fact that a kid like him learned to steal was kind of pitiful to her. She never thought such poverty would even spawn in this almost-perfect world. Maybe she let herself be blinded by what magic could even do, that they could be able to do everything they want that were beyond humans.
The young werewolf was still awestruck as he watched the eerie silver creature walk away from him. Well, he had been caught stealing for like ten to twelve times already, but kindness was something he never once begat after being caught until this happened.
'How wonderful could it be, if I were to become a disciple of that breathtaking guy?' He pondered.
His lips curled to form a confident smile as he decided. He would follow him no matter what.
Shimmering pieces of jewelry, extravagant and colorful clothes and fabrics, unknown inventions and objects, books and scrolls, and seemingly foods stands were all she found.
Many of their inventions grasped weirdness to her, however, that doesn't mean such people were kind of senseless in her perspective.
Relapsing to her aim, strangely enough, she couldn't find what she's looking for. The market was also not that big enough then she had expected.
"Where would the forgery be?" She cupped her chin as she tried to remember the details that she had read earlier. Nope, not a hint popped out.
She reached the end of the market but not even a weapon was in sight, bars of metals either.
**growl
Her stomach growled, leaking her hunger to her milieu. She halted for a while and took a deep sigh as she rubbed her hungry stomach. Manasseh left her in her room to handle and serve her some food in this first place, and now she's hungry as hell.
"Never thought of this,"
Just how clumsy has she become? Well, no one knows.
The body's stable condition is essential to anyone, most especially to someone like her.
She upsettingly bowed her head down and from the corner of her eye; she caught a familiar entity looking straight at her, just beside her. To be honest, she has been aware of his presence from the very start, but this 'hunger thing' almost led her to forget about him, following her around. What could have happened if this was another setting?
"Here," He happily uttered as he reached out a flower-shaped muffin covered with white paper to her.
Instead of accepting it, she looked at him with a probing sight full of curiosity. The kid sort of understood what that look meant, so he immediately corrected her.
"This is an apology for trying to steal from you earlier but I didn't steal this food, I promi---"
Before he could even finish his statement, Yuna grabbed it and started to remove the paper, revealing a brown bun inside.
"Save your swearing," She coldly spoke up without leaving her gaze from the muffin in her petite hand. Gladly, it looked normal and edible.
She glanced down at the smiling young werewolf in front of her. As he was standing there, she was able to notice his decent feature. He was too delicate and small that he only reached her waistline. His eyes have tints of floral indigo, and according to his evident features, his age ranges from 8 to 12 years old.
"So, what do you want from me?" She asked.
That question yielded bliss on his face. His mouth agape as his eyes glimmered. As he felt the incredible feeling that happiness always gives, no way would he waste this rare opportunity?
He stood straight with his arms on his side and bowed his little head towards Yuna.
"Please take me as your disciple, mister."
His answer made her speechless. Well, in her world, who would just straightforwardly utter such a thing to someone? Well, unless you're rich and awesome for sure.
The fact that he mistook her as a guy was kind of cute that it delighted her more, but regardless of his reasons, in an assassin's perspective, she would rather dive solo than have an annoying side-kick.
Well, what could she even teach him?
She has been all alone when she grew up; that past of hers scarred her so much that even getting used to it was a pain. Disciples, after all, were quite troublesome, or she just doesn't want someone to get attached to her.
Thus, why not give him a chance?--- You read that right, why not?
"Go home kid, you'll make your family worry about you." That was the words that he heard. It was upsetting that he even lost his courage to move, instead, bit his lower lip and clenched his hands as he watched the so-called mister's black boots gait away.
The word 'home' retained on his mind. He wasn't really succumbed to poverty like Yuna thought. The home he has was the place where he felt lonely the most. Being the youngest in the family tore his bond away from others. As his siblings and parents were all at their stuffs, he felt like he doesn't exist from the people he needed the most. That's why he was here and was so rebellious; hoping that maybe something would even change.
He then stood straight and turned to look at the strolling and lonely mister that made his day. He wondered why that guy even gave him such sympathy.
He could go away and look for other people to serve but then, he pondered; maybe if he could at least stand beside him even for a while, both of them will feel less lonely anymore, right?
That was the chance she was talking about.
She played with him emotionally.
99 percent would go home and tell the story to others or would be disappointed and rather stay away. While 1 percent would take the risk to follow someone who they barely knew.
Trust is something earned and not given, indeed.
Everyone who takes risks will definitely get what they deserve, good or bad. That was her first rule.
As she took a bite of the muffin, she shot a glimpse at the vast blue sky. It's not that different from her world, she meant the actual world.
She doesn't even need to turn her back around just to make sure that the pinknet [men with pink hair] was there, following her. Never did she imagine him tagging around, but if he does, then he does, nothing more and nothing less.
"Well, would you look at that?" She mumbled as she closed her eyes then exquisitely formed a faint smile. Loneliness was a scar on her past, that's why as long as she's alive; she wouldn't let anyone experience the same fate.
---For she knows how loneliness can make a heart go cold.
Humanity prevailed in her heart in the end.
As their names were still a mystery to both, two once lonely souls were now sharing a path. Both in search of the unknown.
--And unaware of the so-called 'fate', a bond of friendship was intertwined.
The sun was a quarter away before setting beyond the horizon. The different pace of time was slowly triggering her jet lag, which was extremely troublesome. Thankfully, no signs of familiar entities looking for her appeared but that doesn’t mean she would let her guard down. It not that she wouldn’t go back but she just wanted the stroll she always does before, something like that. After hours of sauntering around, they decided to take a rest and fill their stomachs by a bistro they managed to find.“This place wasn’t that helpful as I expected,” She sighed as she set her elbow on the wooden table and rested her chin on her palm. She gradually crossed her feet as she watched every creature, big and small, pass by.“Is this your first time here in the Capital, mister?” The ‘pup’ who was eating and sitting opposite to her asked.“You could say that,” she mumbled, "Is this the only place to buy stuff?” She would not expect a shopping mall in such a place but a smuggling illegal marketpla
“Any sign of her?” Omri asked the worried and frustrated Manasseh, who without a second thought, has roamed around the whole castle to look for Yuna. “None,” She burst out, now crying after prolonging her sullen agony for more than an hour. What if someone abducted her? What if Yuna was in danger right now? They need to find Yuna as soon as possible for her existence was something that should be kept confidential from the public. If the Council were to know about her resurrection, death was certain for her or worse, there wouldn't even be a proper burial, and the truth about her real identity would be nothing but a theory. There's one more place to search, and that is outside the academy. He would not risk wasting the time just by waiting for the so-called ‘All-knowing’ to find her, so he decided to search for her instead.Without a second thought, he unerringly sprinted towards the white marble balcony in front of them and jumped out with the support of his left hand.“Omri!” Manass
“You two are not sent here to just pull me back, right?” Zyair narrowed his amber eyes as he scanned the two folks standing in front of him.‘Seemingly an elf, ah no, a sprite and a young ‘Yuu’ni’.” He thoughtfully assumed. No, they were not that familiar to Zyair, except for that silver-haired guy, who had been giving him an uneasy yet familiar feeling. He was a little tall, slim, and was wearing clothes male elfin mostly wear. His messy silver bangs, long entangled hair, and emerald gaze made him look domineering and frigid. That silver hair color though, it only made him remembered that ‘annoying’ brat.“No, my teacher needs your help to look---” Zyair cut the young Yuu’ni off with a zany groan.Regardless of Yuna’s accentuated male features, Zyair was able to see through her disguise; he was the so-called ‘all-knowing’ after all. Not a simple disguise such as those can or will even fool him. “Nah, go away. Do I look like a book of guide to you?” He closed his eyes and decided to
“What do you think about this new ‘Yuna’?” Omri spoke as he leaned to the stone wall inside Zyair’s main office. It was dark and gloomy for him but it was Zyair’s comfort zone.Zyair loves the darkness but that fact about him, never equated that he’s evil.“Hmm,” Zyair hummed as he rested his chin on his intertwined slender fingers. To be honest, this was the first time she met Yuna face to face and alive. Not a clue of what her nature even looked like.
Yuna, as she stared at their food for breakfast in front of her. It was composed of vegetables and fruits known to human men like leafy veggies, oranges, and apples. There were some slices of bread, but not a single piece of meat. ‘Maybe wild animals don’t exist here. What a rather menacing place to be stuck on where meat is not even cultivated.’ She closed her eyes as she sighed upon that thought. She savored her food; it was quite bland and no
A little far beside the Academy was a simple, peaceful, and isolated garden. Colorful and profuse kinds of flowers bloomed in beauty like there’s no tomorrow as they encircled a mature Oak tree. None of the students had access to such a wonderful place for this garden was created out of love.Painful moans and punches then elapses, ruining the sole purpose of this place. Omri fell to the ground and wiped the blood from his bleeding lips. He expected this, most especially from him. He was invited by Hayden for a
"So how about you, why do you love the night so much? Zyair then asked, but instead of an answer, he only watched her pretty smile fade away with sole confusion. She almost let her guard down from this friendly talk; she doesn't know what to say. What if she would say something that isn't known to this world? What if they suspect there's something unusual about her? What if the night sky here wasn't the same as hers? What if?
No, probably not. She closed her eyes, asking herself why she was even this stressed. Well, she deserved that. If she were just to accept this world as her new reality and rebuke science, then she would not be this thwart, but no, she would never discard away her human knowledge even if it was for something certain.
Verves surged inside Yuna's body, causing her to gawk her eyes with apparent shock. She was even more stunned when she found herself standing in a vast space of pure white emptiness. A shred of memory then flashed in her mind. Her triumph upon her plan was what she recalled, so what was happening right now?Yuna looked around the empty space until a familiar voice disrupted her search."What an annoying ability," The voice came from behind her and she glanced there only to meet a deviant entity but 'that' voice, it only belonged to the one who tried to confront her. However, in front of her was a floating deformed claret soul without feet, making her look more like a jinni."Where am I?" Yuna asked, for she has no clue about what was
"Damn, not good, not good." Yuna madly muttered as she kept herself alert from the danger lurking in the darkness for she met another threat. The atmosphere was so dense that she knew this wasn't some sort kind of test anymore, but pure bloodlust. Just what the heck did she just manage to wake up, a monster? What a big miscalculation, she just misjudged a mere child, and now the kid ended up enraged and berserk, Yuna was apparently armless."Dammit, where are the freakin' people?"If they were to come, that would be for later. She has one more thing she needed to conclude, that was to whether or not this world does exist, tonight. So for now, she has to stay alive no matter what. Now she has to rely on the senses of a body that she's
Loathe, anger, jealousy, envy, lust, obsession, all these are fires that severely burn, and whoever reaches her hands out to touch its flames is ought to suffer the agony of burning. Thus, reaping what you sow.People are given the privilege to discern what is right from wrong, but it only leads them to the inference that, "What is life without a little FUN?"
Somber and calm was the room for the 'Big Reveal' was on course. She leaned in closer to the eyepiece, taking a peep with eyes both open on the telescope to meet the barren sky. Nothing but a certain shade of blue confined in a black orb. That was all she saw."Neh, I cannot see anything." That it was kind of weird. Yuna frowned as she slowly slanted her head away from the eyepiece to look at the clear evening blue sky. Even if the telescope was sort of old-fashioned, she managed to set up high-potential lenses that could pier
"Take care, everyone." Deyonne waved her wrinkled and plumped hand as she stood by the wooden door. After Yuna and Dale managed to find all that was written on their list, it's time to say goodbye. The three waved back at her before they entered the exquisite and sweet-smelling flower tunnel.
“What a beautiful sight, I almost thought I stumbled upon a mirror.” Her oldie female voice trampled the silence. Yuna looked down to meet the chubby old dwarf’s gaze, but she saw no orbs, her eyes were pure white. She realized she was blind but the odd thing was that she knew she was standing there. What do those statements of hers even mean?“Oh, Miss Deyonne, me and my friends came to buy some stuff.” Zyair uttered as he approached Deyonne. Since Deyonne finally took a glance at Yuna, he wanted to know what she saw. What k
Screeching sounds from the leather boots as it collides with the grassy floor lingered in the air. Their distinct figures overlaid shadows on their path as they plastered placid smiles on their faces, for they are at home. Those humane eyes once wept hot and blinding tears of unspeakable sorrow. Their warm beating hearts once felt the burning rage of pain and anger. Their calm minds, once coveted by overpowering self-pity and loneliness.
No, probably not. She closed her eyes, asking herself why she was even this stressed. Well, she deserved that. If she were just to accept this world as her new reality and rebuke science, then she would not be this thwart, but no, she would never discard away her human knowledge even if it was for something certain.
