Set in 90's times... Jennifer used to be a cold hot headed teenage girl. She was living a normal life, not until she met Akira, a college guy who spilled a 1peso worth of juice on her 7,000 worth of peso bag. She then ended up being in love and in a relationship with him. One night under the full moon she witnessed with her two eyes how her boyfriend turned into a beast that the folks used to call it as a werewolf. She was totally shocked, however, she didn't feel afraid of Akira. Akira confessed about his true identity to her. She learned that every werewolf has a mate and that will only come within their breed. That makes her to persuade Akira to turn her also into a werewolf because she was afraid that Akira would be mated to another werewoman. As Akira fangs pierced on her neck, untold history before them, began to unfold in her mind. And when she totally became a werewolf, she ended up killing Akira. Her life of being a witch with a blood of a werewolf started. She came to the underworld to avenge her parents- the powerful white witches, who had been killed by the black witch and a father and son- werewolf. There, she saw again the face of the man she love, with a modest beautiful woman beside him who turned out to be Akira's mate.

Prologue

It was a ceremonious night when Matilda bore her child. The moon shone bright in the dark sky for the most powerful white witch, the 15th generation of their race. At the sound of the newborn’s cry, a loud wail was heard. It echoed around the place, scaring all the birds that had been watching kindly beside them. The loud wail was even followed by small ominous growls like that of a beast. Orlando was alarmed because of it. Matilda clinged on Orlando’s arm as she felt the black power coming from Amara. Orlando glanced at her as if they were thinking the same thing. He immediately stood up and placed a brown cape around Clara, his nine year old daughter. Then, he handed her his newborn daughter. The brown cape will serve as their protection from Amara. It will prevent its wearer from releasing their power and it will hide them from the sight of any powerful being. It is a family heirloom, passed on from generation to generation to whoever was the most powerful white witch living in

Chapter 1

I STARED at the big painting in front of me. It was attached to the white wall of my bedroom. It was a painting of my late parents' faces. My parents, whom Ihad never had the chance to be with since I was born.Despite that, I never felt what it's like to be an orphan. I always have my older sister, Clara, with me who has also been both a mother and a father to me. In fact, I grew up being rich because of her endeavor and perseverance. She was able to build a company that sells beauty products here in the Philippines. It's called Ever Beauty and now, it is the leading and most successful company in the country. Almost everyone loves our products because of their effectiveness and affordable price. We were even able to export our products and sell them to other countries. Sometimes, I wonder how Clara was able to do all that by herself. I wonder how she was able to know how to use plants for cosmetics and make-up when she only studied and graduated from a normal school. One time, I as

Chapter 2

FROM where I’m sitting inside the classroom, I can clearly see the wide plaza of our school, the Mabini College, through the window. Out there you could see a group of fourth year college students happily playing baseball by themselves.Their bags are all placed on a blue bench just right in front of them. The other benches surrounding the plaza are all occupied by girls watching them play with admiration in their eyes, especially for Akira.I just watched Akira’s every move. From the time he hit the ball until he ran around, my full attention was focused on him. Even before, it has always been a habit of mine to watch what goes around the plaza through the window, but today is different. It’s all because all my eyes could see is Akira. It all started since that juice accident happened.THE moment I turned my gaze on the man who spilled his mango juice on my Birkin bag, my eyes first landed on his brown eyes. I was stunned for a moment. This is the first time I had the chance to have a

Chapter 3

MY eyes fluttered open when I felt something light hit my face. I picked up the crumpled paper and then threw it back outside the window of my bedroom. I stood up from my interrupted sleep and headed towards the open window of my room.I put my head out to see who it was and out there, I saw Jeremy and Lance. Lance wore an emotion on his face that I couldn’t understand while sitting on a large rock, while Jeremy is sitting on a hammock, holding the crumpled sheet of paper that I threw at him earlier while rocking his hammock hard. I see that’s why Lance was frowning all this time. It’s because Jeremy stole his favorite spot.“It’s good that you are awake, Mr. Loverman. If I didn’t accidentally push you towards Jennifer, you would still be admiring her from afar until now, hoping when your love for her would be reciprocated,” Jeremy teased his friend.“Idiot, that’s uncool,” Lance replied.“You’re just jealous because I stole your favorite spot,” Jeremy fostered.“It’s too early. Tell m

Chapter 4

“BYE, sis!” Jennifer hurriedly bid her goodbye, with Lorilyn beside her. Before walking away, they waved at me. I smiled and nodded at them in return. The two of them were only wearing casual clothes. They don’t have classes today. They just have to care about their graduation practice. I smiled at myself. If my parents could see us right now, I’m sure that they would be happy. I managed to do everything by myself and raise Jennifer better than fine. Thanks to my powers, it paved the way towards the life that I have now. Without it, I won’t have all these blessings that we have now. When I was young, I lived surrounded by nature in a place where nothing but witches live. And now, I realized that it’s more fun to live along with humans. Life is better around here. This is my own definition of the real world. In reality, witches and other strange and powerful beings are like humans, too. The only difference we have from them is that we have powers or special abilities. I remember

Chapter 5

“What a beautiful place!” I exclaimed in amazement. The werewolf took me to a mini farm here in the mountains.Trees of various kinds are planted on a small patch of land . Who would plant these trees in this remote place?I went down from his back. After that he shifted into his human form. Oh my god! I accidentally saw his thing.I shut my eyes close in frustration. I want to scold him, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to tell him – nevermind.Just like what I did earlier, I gave him new clothes again. This time, I imagined some plain t-shirt and jeans to give him the look that he had wanted.“Welcome to my farm!” He proudly said as he showed his farm with his arms wide open.“You did all this?” I asked him doubtfully.“Believe me or not, I’m the one who planted all these fruits and vegetables.”“Why are you not in your pack?” I asked curiously. He sat on the grass and stared at his farm. His face looked so serene.“I’m a rogue now. I was kicked off by the Beta’s son.” He

Chapter 6

As soon as Akira caught sight of me, he leapt from his seat on the bench and approached me with a smile. He had a broad grin on his face. When he was able to get within touching distance of me, he first kissed my forehead and then both of my cheeks. I couldn't help but crack a smile at his very kind action."It's so sweet!" We both looked at her because of what she said. She continued by saying, "Of the candy that I am eating," after which she laughed and smiled at us. To get her to stop, all I had to do was pull on her short hair. Because of the tingle I'm experiencing, my face is starting to redden, and I don't want Akira to see me like this because it's embarrassing. My face is starting to look like a tomato. We traveled to the location that was being shared by Akira and his two closest friends, Jeremy and Lance. By the way, Lorilyn had a frowning expression on her face when she saw her former suitor. It had been nearly a week since Lance's previous disclosure to Lorilyn that he in

Chapter 7

"WAIT!" When he turned around and appeared to be about to flee from me, I called out to Akira. He ceased all movement and remained standing still with his back turned to me. The two of us then fell into silence.I did nothing but look at him because I had no idea what to say next. I felt a chill run down my arms, and hot tears began streaming from my eyes. To tell you the truth, even though he has transformed into a werewolf, I do not really feel afraid of him; however, I am really getting emotional. I feel like I'm starting to overthink things. What will happen to him when other people discover that this is his true personality? What will happen to the both of us? The fact that our worlds are not the same gives me a creepy feeling. I have no idea how I ought to feel, and I'm not even sure if I will believe everything that I am seeing right now. It's possible that this is all a dream. You got that exactly right! There is no such thing as a werewolf. There is no such thing. They are no

Chapter 8

“My mother told me that I was born like this. My father was a werewolf so I inherited that from him. I don’t know how my father became a werewolf. I tried asking my mother about it, but she told me that it’s better to stop bringing up the past,” Akira told me.We are currently at home, sitting on the couch. Both of us are staring at the big television screen, watching a lyric video of the song “endlessly” with his head placed on my right shoulder. This is where we decided to talk about everything while my sister is not here. I think this is the safest place to talk about his secrets.“Do Lance and Jeremy know this?” I asked him. “Not yet. I haven’t told them anything because I’m afraid that they might hate me and ruin our friendship. They might also expose my identity. I don’t want them to get involved in what I am. It will be safer if they remain ignorant of the truth. That was also my mother’s advice,” he explained. He squeezed my right hand. I can feel the roughness of his hand

Chapter 9

MY eyes widened as I yelped in pain when Akira’s sharp teeth dug into my neck’s skin. My eyes bulged as I stared at the moon above us. I couldn’t explain the pain I was feeling. My vision gradually turned into color purple for some unknown reason. Then, it was followed by crashing memories that played into my mind, taking over my consciousness. I SAW my mom giving birth to me with my father holding her hand as he attentively sat beside her. I observed our surroundings, the room that we are in. We were in a washed white bedroom with raining magic dusts around us. I couldn’t tell where it’s coming from or when it started. There were also birds perched on top of the things around us, their full attention is on me as they witnessed my birth. I noticed the little version of my sister, Clara, playing with the other birds on the left side of the room. I wish I could take a picture of her and save this moment as a souvenir of her cuteness.“What the?!” Clara was sitting on a branch of a tree
