"Thank goodness if they're done," Handoko whispered, feeling relieved as he noticed something different about Alesya this morning.

"We've been staying for just one night, and Alesya's already blushes like that. How about if we stay for a month and go sightseeing? Consider it a celebration of our success, covering and seizing everything!" Mariana hugged Handoko.

"Are you sure this is safe? Alesya won't leave the house and find out everything?"

"She won't. Trust me. Alesya is ignorant and blind when it comes to her father's business."

"Well then, if you arrange everything, I'll rest." Handoko kissed Mariana's forehead. A testament to his pride in having such a clever wife as Mariana, who had provided the idea that saved his company from bankruptcy.

Getting angry and refusing seemed useless now. When Alesya tried to find suitable clothing to wear, her stomach was already hungry, and she wanted to go down for breakfast. But searching for suitable clothing took up a lot of time.

None of them matched her preferences. Every piece of clothing on hand either displayed smooth thighs or cleavage. They exposed her shoulders entirely. Alesya couldn't possibly feel comfortable wearing such clothes. If it continued like this, she wouldn't be able to leave the room, let alone the house. She was afraid that Handoko would enjoy seeing her exposed body.

"You're summoned by Mom and Dad. They said there's something they want to discuss."

Alesya sighed deeply. She looked at Bryan, who was standing at the bedroom door. "Yes, I'll go there later. You can go first."

"Hurry, I need to go to the office."

"Go ahead. I have nothing to do with you."

"You do, I'll take you to meet your boyfriend."

"Boyfriend?" Alesya, who had been trying to ignore Bryan, finally turned around.

The word "boyfriend" that Bryan uttered made her suspicious that something beyond her control was about to happen.

"Devin Setyawan!" Bryan pulled one corner of his lip. "He's waiting for you at a restaurant about two hours from now."

"Didn't we agree not to interfere in each other's affairs?"

She looked at Bryan in horror. Really, Alesya didn't expect Bryan to go this far.

How could he have the audacity to pry into her personal life? Alesya didn't care if Bryan was already married. She didn't even know which girl he had married, she hadn't found out until this moment.

"But not for this. Devin needs to know that we're in a forced marriage. He also needs to know that you need a seed to divorce me!"

"You're really something!"

"I really want to end all of this." Bryan rubbed his face. "That's why I want to speed up your pregnancy."

"I don't..."

"According to the agreement. If not, you'll regret it for the rest of your life, Al! And please... quickly, I don't have much time."

What else could she do? Refusing was entirely useless because her life had been taken over by Handoko and Bryan. Running away wasn't an option because Alesya couldn't take her parents' graves with her. So she could only nod and comply with Bryan's wishes.

And it didn't take her long to pack. In just half an hour, Alesya had descended the stairs, passing through each room before reaching the dining table.

As if she had become accustomed to all of Handoko's rules, Alesya descended wearing a knee-length mini dress. It was quite comfortable because it had short sleeves and didn't expose her smooth shoulders.

Alesya slowly sat down. Her eyes were alert, wary of any sudden movements that Bryan or Handoko might make. Here, Alesya was quite surprised not to find Nicholas. Where had he gone? Wasn't he supposed to be here for breakfast?

"Mom and Dad will be going out of town this afternoon. Not for long. Just a month."

Mariana spoke up. She appeared calm, delivering carefully crafted words.

"So... Mom hopes that you two will do it well. When we return from out of town, I will take Alesya to the hospital."

Bryan's face, which had initially brightened, now looked gloomy. Sour, because Mariana mentioned the word "hospital."

"If Alesya is found to have never had marital relations, not pregnant, let alone intact..." Mariana narrowed her eyes. "Bryan, your position will be revoked. Alesya, your mother's grave will be dug up, we don't care where you will relocate their graves! Do you both understand!?"

"I understand. That's why I'll take Alesya for a little stroll before heading to the office. Since there are no important meetings scheduled today." Bryan took Alesya's hand. He gestured for her to stand up. "We'll take our leave. Mom and Dad, enjoy your vacation."

"Uh, Ar!" Alesya tried to break free from Bryan. Before they could even have breakfast, Bryan had dragged her away. Her stomach was really hungry right now.

"Aren't you going to have breakfast first?" Handoko tried to stop them both.

"No, we'll eat outside!" Bryan replied without stopping his steps.

"Let go! Where are you taking me? At least, before we go, can you let me eat first, Ar! I'm hungry!"

"There's no time. Your boyfriend is already waiting. You can ask him for food as payment after you two have made me a grandchild for my father!"

Alesya shook her head. She couldn't believe Bryan was serious about what he was saying. Alesya had hoped that Bryan wouldn't rush things like this, at least until she was ready to have marital relations with a man.

Honestly, Alesya couldn't bear to go that far, because she had always carefully guarded everything in her life.

After about forty minutes of driving, Bryan finally parked his car in front of a restaurant.

"Take this. In case your boyfriend refuses to drive you home or pay for the meal. Once it's done, go straight home before the person I assigned comes to drag you back if you deviate from my orders," Bryan handed a hundred thousand rupiah bill to Alesya. "Please get out; your boyfriend is at table twenty-nine."

"Alright." With mixed feelings, Alesya stepped out of the car. She walked towards the restaurant with a heart that felt like it had been doused in cold water when she saw a man she knew.

The man was sitting in a corner of the restaurant, leaning back in his chair, looking even more handsome in his suit.

"Hi," greeted the man, who was none other than Devin. Devin still looked the same as before, always smiling at Alesya, bringing calmness to her heart. However, that smile didn't last long because Devin furrowed his brow when he saw Alesya's appearance.

Alesya wasn't wearing loose or modest clothing as usual. This time, she was dressed in a sexy outfit that showcased her long legs. Her appearance was drastically different from her usual self.

"How are you, Al?" Alesya raised the corners of her lips. "Where are we going? So we can finish this quickly, and I can go home."

However, Devin didn't answer Alesya's question. Instead, he gestured for Alesya to follow him. How did Alesya's marriage end up this badly? She felt like having Devin back, but everything had changed now.

"I didn't expect that everything that man said was true," Alesya said, trying to focus. "You're here, which means you already know what's happening. What's the purpose of us meeting here? So please, let's finish this quickly."

Devin took Alesya's hand and held it. "Al, I didn't come for that. I came just to make sure if this is true or not."

"It's all true. My life has been pawned because of the debt my father left behind," Alesya replied softly. She tried hard to hold back her tears from falling in front of Devin. She didn't want him to see how miserable her situation was.

"I feel sorry for you," said Devin as he rose from his seat. He stood next to Alesya and hugged her, perhaps for the last time. "I believe you can endure all of this."

Alesya asked, "How can I endure it, Dev? I'm asked to get pregnant, but not with him. Instead, with another man, anyone who can make me pregnant. You know, I was almost assaulted by Bryan's friends last night."
