Shabila sobbed, releasing all the pent-up emotions she had kept inside. This wasn't the kind of marriage she had envisioned. It wasn't supposed to be a place for someone's carnal desires to be unleashed and controlled as Bryan pleased. Shabila had tried to change herself slowly, as she couldn't change drastically as Bryan expected.

It might have been easy in the eyes of others, but not for herself.

"So, you want to separate from me?"

Shabila nodded quickly.

"If that's what's best for both of us, if that will make you realize. I'm just an ordinary person, and I need time to transform into a better human being. If you understand that, great. But if you don't, it means our marriage ends here."

Bryan roughly wiped his face. He wanted to grant Shabila's request, but, on the other hand, he still loved her deeply. Their love story, spanning years of trials, couldn't end just like this. There were so many obstacles they had overcome, and now his father had finally accepted their marriage.

Should it all vanish because of one night's mistake? Maybe giving Shabila another chance to change was the right thing to do.

It was a chance for Shabila, for him, to understand their respective positions better.

"I can't take the steps you want me to, yet." Bryan knelt in front of Shabila, holding her hand. "Forgive me. I did it because of my emotions, ignited by jealousy. My wife was touched by another man, so it's natural for me to react like that. I hope you understand my position, Sha. I'm your husband, and it's impossible for a husband not to get angry when his wife is involved with another man."

"Now, I'll ask you, are you really sincere in apologizing to me? Have you truly admitted that you were at fault?"

"Fine, it's pointless to talk so much if it always ends up like this. I'll go along with what you want for now, but I'm tired and exhausted, so someday I might leave without you knowing." Shabila took a deep breath, exhaling slowly to calm her mind. Her chest had grown cold toward Bryan, although it was no longer like before.

"So, what's your plan for today?" Shabila changed the subject, not wanting to dwell on Devin's issue, which would only lead to another argument.

"As you know, today we're taking Alesya to the hospital."

"Alright, I'll get ready," Shabila replied casually, got out of bed, and headed to the bathroom.

Once they were all packed and ready, Bryan and Shabila invited Alesya to leave. Alesya said her goodbyes to Nicholas, then followed Shabila and Bryan, getting into the car. She sat calmly, waiting for Bryan's car to park in front of a hospital.

They were gone for a long time before Nicholas followed. After telling his assistant to handle the work at the restaurant first, because he had important matters that had to be completed.

Arriving at the hospital, Nicholas looked for a hidden place to wait for Alesya so that Bryan wouldn't find out if he was following her wherever he went.
