Ace went silent. He hadn't seen her proposal coming and he suddenly went chill in the bones. She wanted him to reject her? He should've, a long time but he had no idea why he couldn't.

"Ally, c'mon now. I'm out here waiting for you," Ethan called, annoyance etched in his voice "Can you just get dressed already?"

Alyssa realized that her brother was still out there. She ignored him and turned to Ace. " And about your bid, I've accepted. Let's meet again. We can't talk at the mansion. But if you may, can we meet at the villa again? Next week, if it's fine with you."
