CHAPTER 57

VALRIE’S POV

“Hey?” I called loudly, snapping Stephano from his trance.

He blinks repeatedly, adjusting to his surroundings. He moves to get him to a

sitting position and grunts in pain at the discomfort it brought to his wounded

stomach.

“Stop it! You need to get some rest” I scolded, placed my hands on his chest to

stop him from getting up.

“I’m okay,” he said.

“No you’re not! There is a fucking bullet wound on your stomach! How do you

call that okay” I deadpanned.

“Where is Fred?” he asked, ignoring my last statement.

“Outside, with the rest of your men” I replied.

“Can you go get him for me?” he asked.

“Well, that’s if you promise not to try and get up” I bargained.

“Sure, sure,” he replied tiredly.

A grin forms on my face and I get up from the couch to fetch Fred. As soon as I

stepped out, I felt the eyes of Stephano’s men on me. M sudden entrance

drawing their attention.
