FIONA'S POV

I excused myself from the living room, feeling the weight of the situation heavy on my shoulders. I couldn't believe that my parents were willing to sacrifice my happiness for their own gain. I knew that I needed to think things through and come up with a plan. I went to my room and locked the door behind me, needing some time alone to process everything.

As I sat on my bed, my mind racing, I couldn't help but think about Aiden and his confession. I knew that I couldn't let my personal life interfere with the situation at hand, but it was hard not to think about Aiden and what he had said to me. I couldn't deny the fact that I had feelings for him, but I also couldn't deny the fact that my parents were pressuring me into a marriage for their own benefit.
