Phoebe's POV

I gently pushed my lunch plate aside, my appetite nowhere to be found. I was too tangled in my own thoughts to care about food.

Vivian sat across from me, eyes expectant, like she knew I was about to say something, but was waiting for me to start.

I was the one who invited her for lunch to apologize, yet I found it difficult to say anything. I cleared my throat, finally breaking the silence.

"Vivian, I… I want to apologize." The words felt strange on my tongue. They were meant to be sincere, but they came out stiff, like I was forcing myself to say them.

Vivian blinked, clearly taken aback, but after a moment, she smiled softly. "Phoebe, it's alright," she said. "I understand. You were just acting out of emotion. It's okay."

Her response was not what I expected. I thought she'd be upset with me, that she'd hold a grudge for the way I'd treated her at the company. But she wasn’t. She was understanding, calm, almost too calm. I wasn't sure whether to feel relieved or more f

Andrew’s POVA few weeks later…The day had finally arrived—the one everyone in the family had been anticipating: Grandma’s birthday. It had been a long time since we’d celebrated together, and with everything that had happened recently, I wanted to make sure things went smoothly. This morning, Grandma had called and asked me specifically to pick up some flowers Sheila had been tending to in the garden before she left.Grandma and Grandpa had been asking about Sheila, and I had been telling them for weeks that Sheila was busy with work and had traveled for a job contract.I had hoped to keep the peace for a little longer, but then my mother, whom I had to convince to leave my house later, had let it slip and told them what happened. They were so furious with me when they found out the truth, especially Grandma, who wouldn't talk to me for a while until recently. They’d wanted me to fix things, to convince Sheila to come back, to be part of the family again, but I knew that this wasn’t

And beside her—Simeon. The two of them together was something I couldn’t quite process. What the hell was going on? And what was Sheila doing with Simeon?I quickly walked toward them, but before I could reach them, Grandma had already swept over, wrapping Sheila in a warm hug.Her voice was light and excited. “Sheila, my dear! You have no idea how happy I am that you came,” she said, holding Sheila’s hands warmly as if she were her long-lost granddaughter. “It means so much that you accepted my invitation.”I halted just in time to hear her words. Invitation? My jaw tightened, and I closed the gap between us, turning to Grandma.“Grandma, you’ve been communicating with Sheila? And you even invited her here? Without telling me?”Grandma looked at me, a hint of guilt flickering in her eyes. She gave a small, apologetic smile.“I... may have reached out to

So, I’d promised her I’d be here.Simeon had offered to come with me. I knew it wasn’t a good idea; everyone here would take issue with it. But he’d insisted, a look of determination in his eyes that I couldn’t shake.“I want to be there for you, Sheila,” he’d said, and somehow, his resolve gave me the strength to face whatever this evening would bring. But I wasn’t prepared for Andrew’s reaction. Andrew's POV Everything was quiet as I stood before Sheila, a tension hanging in the air thick enough to cut. I needed to hear her say it—that she loved me. I couldn’t explain why, but I wanted to hear those words, to feel the depth of her feelings for me.But before Sheila could respond, my mother’s voice cut in sharply. “It’s obvious she never loved you, Andrew,” she said, her tone full of disdain. “She just saw you as the golden child—the one she was forced to marry.”I clenched my jaw, feeling a surge of anger. Mom was always quick to judge, always convinced she knew best. And as if her words weren’t hurtful enough, she added, “Honestly, Sheila, you’re even better suited to Simeon. You two even look good together; two rejected, unwanted people,” she said sarcastically with a twisted smile.I turned to her, my voice cold and firm. “Mom, back off,” I said, meeting her gaze with a warning. “I want an answer from Sheila, just stay away!”Silence fell again as Sheila finally looked at

  • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife   Shattered Hope

Sheila’s POV I stood frozen in place as Andrew hurried out, his phone clutched tightly in his hand. The room seemed to still, and yet, inside me, a whirlwind raged. Evelyn was awake. Evelyn. The name alone felt like a dagger pressed against my heart. I couldn’t stop him, couldn’t even speak as I watched his retreating form vanish into the distance, heading to the woman he had once—and perhaps always—belonged to.I barely noticed Grandma’s gentle approach until her hand was on my arm, her eyes searching my face with quiet sadness. “Sheila, are you alright?” she asked softly.I nodded quickly, swallowing hard to keep the tremble in my chest from showing. “I’m fine, Grandma,” I managed, my voice steadier than I felt. But she saw through it. Her look grew more sorrowful, and she sighed, brushing a hand across my cheek in a way that nearly broke me.“Oh, dear. If I’d known it would come to this, I never would have invited you here. I’m so sorry.” “It’s not your fault, Grandma,” I said

  • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife   Comforting Her

Simeon’s POVWatching Sheila break down in my arms felt like a punch to the gut—a kind of helplessness I couldn’t shake. She clung to me, her cries muffled against my shoulder, and all I could do was hold her, letting her pour out the pain that Andrew had caused. She didn’t deserve any of this. Her only fault was falling for a man who was too blind to see what he had right in front of him.How could he have done this? How could he have told her how much he missed her and wanted her back, only to leave the moment he heard Evelyn was awake?I stroked her hair gently, murmuring soft words of comfort, though I knew they wouldn’t really ease the hurt. From the first time I met her, I had misjudged her, thought she was some gold digger trying to replace Evelyn. But gradually, I saw it was nothing like that. She was just trapped, a victim in this twisted mess that seemed to have no end.If only I could erase Andrew from her mind completely, take away the memories that chained her heart to hi

Simeon's POVThe door creaked open, and a waiter peeked in, balancing a tray with a champagne bottle and glasses. He froze, taking in the scene, then mumbled, “Oh, I apologize, I didn’t mean to intrude.”Sheila sat up while I adjusted myself. The waiter started to back out, but I held up a hand. “Wait—actually, we’ll take that,” I said, gesturing for him to come over. The waiter stepped forward, eyes darting between us, and handed me the tray. I gave him a nod. “That’ll be all. Thanks.” He nodded quickly and exited, leaving us with the champagne.Pouring us each a glass, I raised mine. “Here’s to our miserable lives,” I said dryly, holding up my drink.Sheila chuckled and stared at the glass of wine before clinking her glass with mine. “To our pathetic lives,” she agreed, taking a sip. After a moment, I added, “Well, actually, my life might just be slightly less pathetic now. My grandparents finally acknowledged me, all thanks to your superhuman emotional speech.”She laughed again,

He had been so supportive and helpful, and I was thankful for his friendship and his care when I needed it the most.Simeon noticed me yawning again and got to his feet, holding out his hand. “Come on,” he said softly. “Let’s get you home. There’s no reason to stay here anymore.”He waved the empty champagne bottle at me. “Besides, we’ve already finished a whole bottle.”I nodded and took his hand, letting him lead me out the back of the hall. We moved quickly, hoping to avoid the rest of the Walker family. My face was a mess—tear-streaked, red, and puffy. I didn’t want any of them seeing me like this, giving them another reason to look down on me.As we reached the back door, I froze. Standing there, cigarette in hand, was a young woman who looked so much like Andrew that it was unmistakable—this had to be his sister,

  • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife   Family's Blessing

Sheila's POVI was in my room with Mom, carefully organizing the clothes Granny had recently bought for me. There were so many that I wondered when I would have the chance to wear them all. I kept telling her I had enough, but my sweet Granny wouldn't hear of it. "Sheila," Mom began, her voice gentle yet curious, "I've noticed Andrew dropping you off quite often lately. Are you two back together?" A warm blush immediately crept up my cheeks. I paused, folding a shirt, and then replied, "We're just taking things slowly, Mom. One step at a time." She looked at me with a knowing smile, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "I see," she said, her tone teasing. "Well, if you're really sure about giving Andrew another chance, then I give you my blessings." I felt a surge of happiness and gratitude. I walked over to her, enveloping her in a tight hug. • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife    The Fight Had Just Begun

Andrew's POVA few weeks had passed since the chaos surrounding Therese and everything else had settled. Alfred was back to work after being suspended for weeks without pay, and things with Sheila had been going progressively smoothly. I had been buried in work, the weight of the business constantly hanging over my head. As I sat in my office, typing away on my laptop, a sharp knock on the door interrupted my concentration. Before I could respond, the door swung open, and my parents entered. My secretary rushed in after them, looking flustered. It was obvious she had tried to stop them, but they were having none of it. "Andrew," my father called out, his tone already tinged with annoyance. My mother followed behind him, her expression unreadable but no less intense. My secretary stepped into my office and began to explain. "I... I apologize, Mr. Walker. They insisted on seeing you immediately," she said nervously. "They refused to wait for me to inform you before they barged i

  • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife   Second Chance

Sheila's POVAs the plane touched down in the city, I felt a sense of relief mixed with anxiety. We were finally back, but the weight of everything that had happened still loomed over me. As soon as the plane’s door opened, the cold rush of air hit us, and I could see the flashing lights of police cars waiting on the tarmac. They were already here, prepared for whatever would unfold next. As we began to step off the plane, the sound of raised voices reached us. Turning around, I saw Andrew's guards holding Anna back, their grip firm as she struggled against them. "Please, I just need to talk to her!" Anna cried out desperately, her voice trembling. "I promise I don't mean any harm!"Andrew’s expression darkened as he stepped forward. “Take her away,” he ordered, his tone cold and unyielding. “I don’t want to see her again.” “No! Please, Mistress, just a moment! I need to say something to you,” Anna pleaded, her voice growing louder. Her tear-filled eyes met mine, and the despe

  • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife   A Moment of Surrender

Sheila's POVI didn’t know where Andrew was taking me, but I could see how furious and upset he was. His mood was dark, and I could feel the weight of his emotions without him saying a word to me. I didn’t even ask. There was something about him that made me want to follow quietly, unsure how I was going to calm him down, and not wanting to make his mood worse. He led me to a secluded part of the plane, a small, well-decorated room that looked almost like a personal cabin. Before I could ask any questions, Andrew shut the door behind us. His eyes, filled with a storm of emotions, met mine for a brief moment before he suddenly pulled me into his arms. I froze, caught off guard by the suddenness of his embrace. He pressed his head against my shoulder, holding me tightly as though trying to find some comfort. We stood there for a few seconds, both unsure of what to do. Hesitantly, I began to pat his back, uncertain of how to respond. “They turned against me! I trusted them so muc

  • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife   Therese 2

Andrew’s POV I was trying so hard to understand what I had just heard. Anna, the woman who had served me so faithfully all these years, had been hiding something this massive from me. How could Therese be Anna's daughter? I stared at her, disbelief flooding my veins. I hadn’t known Anna had a child, let alone one who was working in my mansion under false pretenses. “What’s going on, Anna?” I asked, my voice thick with anger and confusion. “How is it possible that your daughter has been working here without my knowledge?” Anna’s face twisted with a mix of guilt and fear, tears welling up in her eyes. She had never been one to break down easily, but this time, it was different. “She’s not really my daughter, Master,” Anna explained shakily, her voice quivering. “She’s my late twin sister’s child… I raised her as my own after my sister passed away. I’ve done everything I could to give her a good life, everything. I sent money whenever I could, supported her when she needed it. I

Everything is confirmed,” the voice on the other end said. “Good,” I replied with a nod before hanging up. It had taken a lot of effort to organize this, but I knew it would definitely be worth it. I turned to Alfred. “Are the movement schedules finalized? And the cars we'll be using once we land?” He nodded. “Yes, Master. Everything has been arranged as per your instructions. Everything has been confirmed.” “Excellent,” I replied, leaning slightly against the window frame. I allowed myself a small smile, one of satisfaction. The truth was, I knew Sheila wouldn’t have come willingly if I had asked her outright. She would’ve found an excuse, some way to evade me. That’s why I had to take matters into my own hands. It wasn’t ideal, but it was necessary. Alfred tilted his head, ob
