Every second you spend with the wrong person is a second wasted in the search for true love.

Beauty's POV
.
"I'm sorry, Beauty... please forgive me."
"Jerk!" I pushed him away to get out. I forgot to lock our gate, and the jerk got in.
"Beauty, I didn't love Donna. I only need her for sex, and that's all."
"What? You jerk! Get lost! Go to hell for all I care!" I shouted and locked the gate.
Jasper is drunk. It's been three weeks, and the repeat calls and messages harasses my days, and I'm over it!
I had enough. I wasted a lot of opportunity because of him. I didn't accept a job offer in Dubai and Singapore because of him. He doesn't want me to go overseas. I obeyed him for two years, and that's it. I'm over with everything. I realized I didn't really love him. I was only holding onto him because I had nothing.
"I love you, Beauty. I will not give up!"
"Oh, shut up! I don't love you anymore!" I said, step inside the house and shut the door. Part of me wants to listen to him, and the other part of my brain tells me this is stupid and a waste of time!
Donna and Jasper are engaged! And that only tells me one thing. . . I am nothing.
***
Donna threw workloads of paperwork on me, and I felt shity already. She did this on purpose! She knew all about me and Jasper. Probably, the jerk told her. I don't care! What's the point? She can have the jerk all for herself!
"Here, Beauty. There's more!" Donna threw another pile of folders on my table and walked away.
My blood boils looking at it. This is not right. These are no longer my job. She's doing this on purpose.
That bitch! I will have my payback.
I got home late. I finished everything. I don't want to leave some work for Monday. Thank goodness it is Friday, and I have two days off.
My sister called me today, and she's happy with her husband. I didn't tell her about what happened to Jasper and me. I don't want any words of wisdom from her. She was right the whole time about that jerk.
"I have an extra VIP pass, Beauty. I will fetch you." Ceilo said in the line.
"Okay. I will wait for you." I quickly changed myself. It's time to party and forget about everything. I miss Ceilo's company.
I took a deep breath while looking at myself in front of the mirror. A lot has changed in me lately, but I still I maintain my body's figure well.
I stopped going to parties because of Jasper. He doesn't want me to do this and that and many more! I was stuck to what he liked, and I was so dumb in believing that. And now that I'm finally free. I felt like the old me became alive after two years.
"Wow, Beauty! You look so gorgeous." Ceilo clapped her hands, looking excited at me.
"Thank you, Ceilo. You are beautiful, too. I can't wait for us to party!"
She laughed and started the ignition. I fasted my seatbelt, getting ready of myself.
"Is Jasper okay with this? I-I mean, did he approve of you going to a VIP party tonight?"
My mouth came partly open. I forgot to tell her that Jasper and I are over.
"I'm single and free, Ceilo. That jerk is a liar. We broke up three weeks ago. That's the end of it, and I will move forward."
"Really? Woah, I told you, right? I had a bad feeling that he's been cheating on you. Anyway, just forget about him. Let's go party!"
We arrived at the place, and the music invited me to dance. We went upstairs to the VIP open lounge, and most of the girls below on the dancing floor were looking at us. Ceilo has two VIP tickets. Not everyone can go upstairs unless they have an invite from the top.
"The Mondragon Boys are here!" she exclaimed, and we settled on a comfortable seat around the corner closer to the VIP bar.
"Who?" I twisted my lips, and the waiter served us our drink.
"Thank you, Vince," Ceilo said to him.
"The Mondragons. Don't you know them?"
"Nope. I have no idea." I tasted the drink, and it's my favorite, Pinacollada. I will never get drunk with this.
"How can you afford all of this, Ceilo?" Curiosity hits me. I have known Cielo for a long time. We did ramp way back then, and I quit joining the higher-ups because of that stupid jerk Jasper. I wish I could continue what I love to do.
"Beauty, you still didn't know my style. Don't you know that everything is possible in my hands?" She winked and laughed.
After a few minutes, Ceilo stood closer to the VIP bar counter and asked for two bottles of vodka from the bartender. Four men are around her, and it seems they know each other. She started dancing and laughing.
"Here, have fun, okay?" She gave me the two vodka, and I nodded. I started opening it. I can't wait to taste it.
"Come and join us too, Beauty." Ceilo held my wrist, but I shook my head.
"Maybe later, Ceilo. Just have fun. I will keep an eye on you." I laughed. Ceilo is crazy when it comes to partying. I want to control my alcohol limit so that I can still drive home.
I started drinking on my own while looking at Ceilo dancing and drinking. She waved at me, wanting me to join them, but I refused. Tonight, my wish is to get wasted, to wash everything for the final time. I want to start a new goal, and that is to establish my career.
I didn't notice that I finished the whole bottle of vodka. I am now opening the second one. I felt my head spinning and my stomach swirling. I looked at Ceilo's direction, and she was no longer there. I looked around, trying to find her, but I couldn't see her anywhere.
I looked at the stairs leading to the third floor, where the VIP rooms are located. I saw Ceilo at the top.
"Cielo!" I called her, but she didn't hear me.
I stood up, but I nearly lost my balance. I blinked my eyes a few times, trying to bring my head back to my body.
What the heck? This is the after-effect of not drinking for so long. I looked up again, and I could no longer see Ceilo. I have to get her out from the top. I know what will happen inside those rooms. I can't let that happen to Ceilo.
That woman, really. She's crazy!
"Let me escort you, Miss."
My brows furrowed, and I looked at the two bouncers behind me as I stepped into the third floor.
"Did I do something wrong? I just want to get my friend. You know Ceilo, right?" I swallowed hard. These two bouncers don't seem friendly at all.
"Okay, fine. I will get down. I don't have an invite. I get the rules, okay," I rolled my eyes, ready to step down, but the two bouncers didn't move.
"We will escort you to the top, Miss," one of the bouncers said.
"What?" Shocked by what I heard, my heart started to pound harder.
"Who invited me?"
"You will see once you get there, Miss."
I froze for a moment and blinked my eyes a few times. I'm scared, but then, I want to get Ceilo.
"Okay! Let's do this!" I exclaimed and paced faster to the top.

Can I borrow your kiss? I promise I'll give it back.***Beauty's POV.There was no one inside when I entered the room. There's a massive drink on the table consumed. The song was paused on the big screen. I chuckled when I saw the music title on the big flat-screen TV. I shook my head."Too bad I can't do both. I can't sing and dance." I shrugged my shoulder.I shifted my body and noticed the other door that led to a small room was halfway open. I strode closer to check what was inside. But I paused, and my body froze when I heard a woman's voice moaning. I stepped backward and swallowed hard.Shit. I need to get out of here. Ceilo told me about this, and a lot of times, she remind me not to accept invites.I was almost at the door, but I froze at his presence. My heart pounded hard the moment our eyes met. He perplexly looked at me, and his brow furrowed."What are you doing here?" He asked, leaning his body on the side of the door's frame. I could no longer get out.If you come to
I still remember the feeling I felt when we first kissed. -- Beauty's POV I woke up with a headache. Thank goodness it's Saturday today, and I have two days to fix myself in this mess. I stood up and went straight to the kitchen for a coffee. Oh my God! I nearly let go of my cup when I remembered what happened last night. My whole body felt cold when I remembered the kiss. I shook my head and laughed a little bit. That wasn't me. I'm a very reserved person, but the hell, yes, I was crazy. All I have is beauty but not brains. As I sipped my coffee, I found myself silently cursing while imagining his kisses that had the power to melt me. Oh, God! What's wrong with me? Oh, hang on, I forgot something. . . Ceilo! I grabbed my phone and dialed her number. "Ceilo? My goodness! Are you okay? Did you get home safely? I'm sorry I forgot about you." She laughed in the line before talking. "Don't you know that you are like that? Whenever you get drunk, you suddenly disappear. Wossh!"
'The best relationships usually begin unexpectedly.'***Drew's POV.Everything was running fast like a clock when it came to Monde. I'm glad I had the right people in these jobs. Xavion managed the rest during my absence, and now that I am back, the pile of paperwork has made me like a prisoner for two days. I'm glad that it was all sorted out."How did it go? I saw you with someone two nights ago. Who is she?" Xavion asked in the line.I grinned with mischief as I fixed the button on my polo shirt before answering him. "My new secretary.""Your —what? Where's Amalia?""She's on a holiday for two months. Her sister, Beauty Acuesta, will cover for two months." A thin smile crept onto my face when I received all her details the other day.I was ready to forget about her because of work, but her exquisite lips and addictive scent lingered in my nostrils. It's weird because it hasn't happened to me since, and her name, Beauty, suits her perfectly.I didn't expect that Beauty would be my
Ninety percent of true love is acute - ear burning, embarrassment.***Beauty's POV.I could no longer put my best smile on, and I could no longer open my mouth. No matter how hard I try to speak, my tongue just retracts. He slightly frowned as he watched me and smiled a little bit—his index finger sliding on the table, playing like a piano, checking for dust."Beauty Acuesta," in his deep baritone voice.I composed myself once more and bit my inside cheek as we stared. I felt like melting at this moment. There was a dominant demand in how he looked at me, and I swallowed hard."Tell the heads for a meeting resume in thirty minutes," he calmly said.Meeting Resume? Have they started already without me? Is that why all the staff stood at their desk when I arrived? Oh, God, I'm doomed!"Y-Yes, Sir." I stammered and looked away, avoiding his gaze. I spun around to exit the room, but he called my name before I could reach the door."Hang on, Beauty.""Yes, sir!" I respond promptly, turni
Believe in yourself a little bit more. *** Beauty's POV . Drew has a perfectly toned masculine physique that is quite impressive. I felt the tingling sensations crawl on me when I remembered our kiss. I shook my head slightly, attempting to clear my mind. Drew Mondragon has a reputation for maintaining a professional relationship with all his employees, so I was relieved he didn't bring up the incident. I must remind myself that he is my boss here, and I'm just nothing. With a snap of his fingers, he can quickly fire me. "Is that the best you can present? Do you want this company to disseminate?" Disseminate? I looked straight at Bobita and the rest of the head management. Their heads dipped halfway, avoiding eye contact with him. Drew Mondragon is not happy. I kept clicking the laptop's keyboard without a sentence. I am figuring out what to write. I was only away for six months, and the company is struggling. What kind of leadership do we have? Is this all you can do?" Drew
'Love is reckless, not reason. Reason seeks a profit.'***Beauty's POV.The food we ordered was served, and we began to eat. I was hungry, alright, but my first bite took a turn inside my stomach.I can't chew my food properly, and I'm having indigestion already. It's awkward, pretending not to know each other, and it's killing me. I hope today is not my last day. We've been so quiet eating, and the only noise I could hear was him clearing his throat now and then. I drank my water, trying to ease the tension I felt inside.Oh God, I want this to end. Come on, Universe, do me a favor, please. Take me out of here!I swallowed hard again, and Drew cleared his throat, dabbing his lips with a tissue before speaking."I want you to call me by my name when we're alone, Beauty," he said formally.Confused at what he meant by that, I raised my head to meet his gaze."What do you mean, Sir?" I blinked."I have a name, Beauty."Drew's jaw tightened as we both continued to stare at each other.
I like you even though you annoy me more than I ever thought possible. But I want to spend every irritating minute with you.***Beauty's POV.As soon as I arrived home, I carelessly tossed my sling bag onto the couch.Who wouldn't get annoyed with my situation?Mr. Drew Mondragon returned half of the paperwork to me earlier, asking me to revise it.Darn him! That was a week of work for me. How come he couldn't understand anything? Is he doing this on purpose? I bet he is.If only I weren't late today, he'd probably be a little bit gentle with me about this. But no, not! He is a Mondragon, a closer cousin to a 'dragon'; cunning, vicious, temperament, sly, and extremely dangerous.I stopped pacing, now looking at the thick pile of papers. How am I going to finish this all overnight? Oh, God help me."Hello, Beauty? How's everything, my beautiful sister?" my sister Amalia asked in the line.I twisted my lips, and my shoulder deflated. I sat on the comfortable chair and raised both of m
I had to touch you with my hands. I had to taste you with my tongue. One can't love and do nothing. *** Beauty's POV . After a few hours, the janitor knocked on the open door and entered the room. I had no smile when I looked at him as I was battling to finish the revision. He nodded halfway and smiled at me. While carrying cleaning tools, he never spoke and only raised his hands slightly. I gave him a nod and returned to my work. I can occasionally hear the janitor moving around. His cleaning is limited to the area before my desk. He is prohibited from entering the CEO's office. The office is off-limits to everyone except me. That's why it has become my sister's job to clean her boss's office, and now it has become mine. I stood up after an hour to get the reports on the side but couldn't reach the desired number in the filing cabinet towering to the ceiling. I looked around me. I thought I saw a stool the other day, and I used it to reach some files that were out of my reach.
