Chapter Two.
Teesan
I wasn’t usually spontaneous. I hated making sudden decisions. But seeing her again made my rationality and usual calmness vanish. She was just as I’d imagined she’d grow up to be. Except she was more beautiful than all my imaginations put together.
At the moment, her lips were slightly parted in shock. She turned her head abruptly, letting her eyes focus ahead.
“That is too much to ask from me.” She finally whispered.
I knew it too. But I was going to have her. She was mine, even if she remembered nothing from the past. I wondered what her current name was.
“You gave me your word.” I argued calmly.
She swallowed. “Yes, but-”
“No buts, Daffodil. You’re divorced, anyway. You have nothing to lose.” It was a sore spot to pick on, but the words were already out.
As expected, her eyes flashed with anger. “And what’s the time limit?” She asked in a small voice.
“Two years. Be my wife for two years, and I’ll let you go.” I promised.
She remained silent for a moment, and just when she was about to respond, someone tapped rapidly on the car window.
I rolled the window down, and a fuming man stood there, a woman in his hand and his right hand suspended in the air and about to tap on the window again.
“You slut! You couldn’t even wait for 24hrs, before seducing your way into another man’s bed?!” He fumed.
Inez’s face turned pale, and her hands clenched tight on her dress.
I finally recalled where I’d seen the man from. We recently signed a business agreement together, and from what he just said, I deduced that he was my woman’s former husband.
“It’s good you signed the divorce papers. Now you’re free to whore around as you please. That’s what you’re good at doing after all, isn’t it? Being a whore!” Dexmond mocked.
Pure rage unfurled through my body, and I felt the sudden need to ram his head against the wall.
“Leave, this instant.” I ordered, interrupting whatever Inez was about to say.
Dexmond peered into the car. The darkness hid my features well. “You are her partner for the night, I presume? Who do you think you are, to speak to me in that tone?” He snapped.
I chuckled. “Someone you wouldn’t want to mess with.” I retorted in a cold voice.
“I should be the one saying that, you retard. Incase you don’t know, you’re talking to the newly signed business partner of T&T Conglomerate. You should mind how you talk to me, else you’d be spending the last of your miserable life behind bars.” He bragged.
“It’s okay. I can handle this.” Inez interrupted in a slightly shaky voice.
I took one glance at her. “You don’t know who I am, do you?” I asked calmly.
She shook her head. “I can tell you’re wealthy. But Dexmond…” Her voice shook, and she swallowed. She turned to face me. “I appreciate you trying to help, but I won’t be able to forgive myself if you get hurt because of me.”
“He just got signed with the T & T conglomerate, yes?” I ignored her plea.
She nodded.
“It’s time your Ex-husband learns some manners.” I smirked.
I started the car, and zoomed off with one destination in mind- my penthouse.
Throughout the ride, Inez didn’t say a word. But I caught her stealing glances at me at intervals, and it made me feel good.
Inez Frednand Turner, the heiress and only daughter of the most powerful family in the entire continent of Europe was back. And even if she had no memories of the past- even if she had no idea that I was her fiancé before the accident- I was fine with it.
She was back, and that was the most important part. Now I had the mission to find out who caused the accident eighteen years ago.

“W-we don’t have to live together, you know. We aren’t even legally married.” Inez protested as I led her to one of the bedrooms.
“Yet.” I refuted.
She whirled around. “Pardon?”
“Yet. We aren’t married yet.”
She opened her mouth as if to say something, and then pursed her lips and turned to continue walking forward.
As soon as she entered the room, I went back into my private room which adjourned hers. Raxier picked up the call on the second ring.
“Boss?” His reserved voice sounded from the other end.
“Terminate the contract with Hexad Jewelries.” I ordered.
He asked no questions. “Yes, Boss.”
My steps were almost robotic as I placed my phone into my pocket and headed back into the room where Inez was. But she wasn't there. A sudden panic overcame me as I rushed down the stairs and into the lounge. I breathed out a sigh of relief but my face morphed into a frown as I spotted the large bottle of whiskey in her hand. It was already downed to the half.
“What are you doing?” I asked in a concerned tone.
“What do you care?” She scoffed, her voice slurred. She was drunk.
“I care.” I replied.
“Oh, you don't, Mr Cold Aura,” she sneered. I blinked at the her nickname for me, and chuckled. “You are just like him. You're just like every other man. I'd have included my father, but I don't even know him.” She sobbed and took a hearty gulp from her bottle.
I took a step forward towards her, but that made her stumble back. “Stay the hell away from me.” She snapped, swinging the bottle sideways. I raised both hands in mock surrender.
“I won't come any closer. You should stop drinking now.” I begged.
“Don’t fucking tell me what to do, Mr Whatever-your-name-is.” She snapped again, and threw her empty bottle of whiskey on the soft rugs, her body following suit. Her tears rained down in torrents.
“You know what hurts the most, Stranger?” She stared up at me with teary eyes. Without giving me a chance to reply, she continued. “It’s the fact that I saw the signs. I saw the pregnancy test result in his private locker days ago. And do you know what pathetic me did? Oh, you won't be able to guess. Wouldn't the normal thing for every sane wife to do in that situation be to confront her husband, and even seek for a divorce?” She hiccuped.
My heart ached, and I longed to go over to her, hug her and comfort her as much as I could.
“That wasn't what I did. I ignored it. I fucking ignored that another woman's pregnancy test result was in my husband's locker. I ignored the fact that my husband was always fucking as many women as he could on our matrimonial bed, and even at our place of work. Care to know why?” She stopped crying.
“It’s because I loved him.” She shook her head, in a self-mocking manner.
“He didn't deserve you. He was a piece of shit, and that wasn't your fault.” I said.
She burst into momentary laughter, and when the last of it died down, she stood to her feet, her legs shaky.
“You offered me a deal. Why don't I offer you mine?” She suggested.
I raised my brows. Of course, it was Inez. Lost memories or not, she had an interesting personality.
“And what do you have to offer?” I questioned.
“Fuck me.” She promptly replied without any hesitation.
“What?”
“We are strangers to each other. You don't have to pretend to want to be my husband in order to sleep with me. I've been through that lane, and sorry, I'm in no way interested. It's a win-win for both of us. I need someone to help me forget what happened tonight, and you need a woman to have sex with. Besides, I'll pay you for your services.” Because of her drunken state, her words were slow and slurry.
“Do you usually offer to have sex with strangers just to relieve your anger?” I asked while walking towards her.
She shook her head, and almost fell to the ground. “No. You're the first.”
“And you're sure you won't regret this?” I asked, trailing my finger along her neck down to her chest. She shivered.
“Except you're no good in bed.”
I almost chuckled. It was just like old times, but I wasn't in no way happy. I was aroused, yes. But this wasn't how I wanted our first meeting to end. I was about to push her, when her hands strayed down to my waist, and further down my pants letting it rest against my groin.
I let out a tortured curse, and pushed her against the sofa.
“Lay back, Daffodil.”
Her eyes glazed over, as she set to helping me unbutton my shirt, and pulling it off.
When I pulled off her dress and beheld her beautiful body, I lost the last bit of control I had left in me. Consequences be damned.
Without bothering to engage in any form of foreplay, I entered her in one swift but precise stroke. I groaned just as she moaned.
“Are you sure this is what you want, Inez?” I asked once more, even as my body vibrated from the force of holding myself back.
“Quit asking me questions, and fuck me, Stranger.”
“So be it.” I grunted, and doubled my pace.
Chapter Three InezMy hands roamed over the sheets before my eyes were fully opened. Coarse. Manly scent. And so definitely not my bed.I jerked up, my eyes scanning around the large bedroom before thoughts of the previous night crashed in. Business party. Got heartbroken. Slept with a stranger.Stranger…My hands trembled as I moved the duvet from my nude body, and stumbled off the bed. Sounds of water splashing from the nearby bathroom made me halt in my steps, and make a quick decision. I wasted no time in getting into my discarded dress that was tossed on the ground, while trying hard not to think of what happened last night. Gosh. I fucked up so bad. My cheeks colored crimson as memories of my bold approach that was totally un-Inez filled my mind. I didn't bother to look at my reflection in the mirror as I pulled out some dollar bills from my purse. I muttered a quick prayer to the god that made me decide to start moving around with some cash in case of
Chapter One. InezI'd never wanted to strangle someone so much as I did at that moment. I lowered my gaze and knelt to arrange the papers that'd been pushed out of my hand.“Bitch, are you blind?” Evane snapped, smacking the side of my cheek. My skin smarted from the impact and I longed to scratch at her face.“I-I’m sorry-” I muttered, without making eye contact.“Look at me while I'm talking to you.” She ordered, raising her voice a notch higher. A little crowd of our colleagues were now forming but none of them tried to help me. I could even hear sneers and snorts from the side. “I’d rather not, Evane.” I whispered. I finished arranging the papers and pushed off the floor. Standing in her heels, Evane was taller than me.“You dare call me by my name?” She rasped, her eyes narrowing.Flustered, I tried to apologize but the words died on my lips as she grabbed a fistful of my hair. Tears pooled in my eyes but I forced them back. I'd rather be dead than give her
